Connecting & setting up was easy. I guess the battery life is ok. I’ve charged it once since buying. Unfortunately for me, it loses connection with WiFi very easily which could be the fact I am on the second fl, and it place at the 1st fl where my main door is. You have to subscribe to receive any recording features. If you leave on a busy street, DO NOT waste the money as it will pick up everything even after setting perimeters which leads to constant notifications.had to turn off that feature because it drove us crazy no matter what setting I used. So basically, it just a WiFi door bell with a camera I can view on but not record a thing unless you subscribe to service which isn’t worth it if it picks up everything unnecessary.

After reading your review, it seems that your Ring Video Doorbell is not picking up the correct motion. The Ring Video Doorbell (2020 release) is the next generation of the original Ring Video Doorbell. In addition to new video features such as Near Zone functionality, the 2020 release Video Doorbell boasts 1080p video, improved night vision, improved audio quality and near motion zone detection. If you are having trouble with your device picking up the correct motion. We recommend adjusting your motion settings and zones. Motion Zones allow you to define a specific area that you want your Ring device to cover while ignoring everything outside that area. By selecting Motion Zones to cover only areas you want the Ring device to monitor, you can effectively monitor the area you want as well as reduce the number of “false positive” motion alert. Lets me see deliveries dropped off and gives a sense of comfort that there are eyes on them until we get them in the house. The setting of the zone that activates the camera is awesome.

Out of the box to full use in less than 10 minutes, tops. Needed a software update which it downloaded and installed itself. Really one of the easiest products to install. Mounting was easy.

We have been hearing about the good things that have happened in homes where this device is installed and you can never be too careful! We see who comes by the door and we can talk without having to get near the door especially if no one is home! I seriously recommend this!

It has far more options. The pictures are much clearer, and the range is great. I have gone as far and recommend it to some of my families and neighbors.

It’s super loud outside when someone is outside they can hear it from a distance.

The image quality is clear enough, and the app is helpful for what you want to see in either Live or Recorded. The ringer could be louder though and the speaker is ok. What bugs me is that you have to subscribe in order to maintain the recorded feature. That is just annoying but I get it, they need to make money as well.

Easy to set up and monitor through your smartphone. Be advised- you will have to eventually buy a subscription to *save and share your videos* after the trial periods ends. Well worth the money spent.

Bought this for my mom and dad because they have a hard time getting up to see who is at their house. Now they can see people walking up and talk to them.

The only issue I have was through trial and error we figured out that the Ring device does not work well with 5g wi-fi, it would be nice if they told you in the instructions but it was an easy fix.

Easy to install and wire to our existing doorbell. Really easy to get app and see motion alerts. Motion alerts can be really touchy (ex. can get every car that drives down the street for hours, but missed when a package was delivered and the delivery person would have had to come in our driveway) - will have to dial that in. Got a good product for staying in our price range and gives me peace of mind. Would recommend.
