I used this for my back/patio door. I already have the newest version of the doorbell for my front door and wanted something for the patio. I almost selected the regular motion camera but I'm glad I got this one. I think it comes in handy for deliveries and if anyone wants to use the patio entrance.

I love that you just jump on whenever and wherever to see if anyone is at your door and to see when someone is there you can speak to them and communicate even if your not home.

I bought this to replace a ring hardwire doorbell camera that was nothing but problems. Every time power would go off, even slightly I had manually re-install to WiFi. I will stay with battery installed and hardwired unit from now on.

Bought this for peace of mind. I looked at all the other brands and talked to different people. They all recommend Ring over Blink, Arlo, etc. I do not know much about the difference, but I do know that this product is great and brings me peace of mind.

Accidentally bought the wired version which I had to return because I didn't want to risk drilling into my apartment walls. Having this brings such peace of mind and knowing I can keep watch for anyone suspicious who comes around. Hasn't failed me yet!

Great video doorbell, ring app makes setup easy. However if planning to wire to existing doorbell systems, must have some competence with household wiring

Very clear video quality and audio. Unfortunately had to use a recorded video to submit to the police after car theft attempt. Very satisfied with all features

It does everything I need it to. I had the original 720p model when it released and it served us well for years. I also prefer this to the higher end ring doorbells due to the built in battery which they omit.

It was easy to install and hook up to phones and the yearly subscription fee is super low compared to security charges for a company to secure your home

This is one of my best buys!!! It's better than I could have imagined. Is so worth the purchase. I feel much safer in my home. Thanks to the rain doorbell camera.

Only 4 stars because the one purchased from Best Buy was defective. However called RING manufacturer and they sent me a replacement because it was under 1 year warranty. Replacement works great ! No issues at all. Original one was definitely defective.

I love it!! Is perfect for the house you can see if someone is around and it send you messages now that i have no spare keys while im waiting for them it’s perfect to let me know someone is outside

Easy to install and set up. Great field of vision and video quality. Overall two thumbs up. A few years ago I bought a professional Swann system with two cameras and a dvr for $500... never liked it... not user friendly at all. This Ring doorbell for $99 is light years ahead of the Swann system

Item works great and installation was a breeze. Installer hooked everything up with the chime and the app and made sure it worked perfectly before he left.

The new version is great although it did not come with the security screws. Note: When installing, the factory backplate is held on by a strong magnet. Grip in the center and pull off and upward. I only wish they would start making Ring Doorbells with a 2K or 4K camera.

Nice color, but when I opened the box the installation hardware was not inside. None of the special. screws that is required to install the camera, was missing. The hardware is supposed to include, because it uses a special screw to install that will make it very hard for a thief to remove the device. Make sure you check the box before leaving the store.

We bought these for our in-laws who had a name brand nationwide security system that was charging them almost $80 per month. The entire system we bought through ring was around $400. At a mere $100 per year for professional monitoring, this system is a steal and extremely easy to install!
