I installed it a month ago and have not had to re charge the battery yet. Great pictures and alerts. Going to buy 2 more for other doors. Highly recommend this product.

The set up was, the quality was amazing. The only thing I would recommend is buying a solar power panel if you are installing the device to the wall. The battery life is amazing but after awhile it will need to be changed.

The app also integrates with my garage door opener through the “key” app for Amazon so that’s another plus. I could not be happier!

The senders are pretty good, the fact that identifies between vehicles and persons it make it easier to check the app. I don’t like the time that it takes connecting. Sometimes over a minute, it can be frustration (is not the wifi). All in all I’m satisfied with it

I went to a Best Buy to seek recommendations and the employee highly recommended this camera. He owned one and showed my wife and I on his cell phone how the picture looked and the options. We were surprised on how clear the picture looked, the monthly subscription is much less than Canary, and the set up was very easy. We used it several times and we used the voice option feature which is a big plus. The side views on the camera covers a large area and the video is crystal clear. I did not want to spend too much so I decided a 2020 release for much less. I do not regret it!

I get a lot of notifications regarding community activity, but there is a way to limit this in the settings. It picks up a lot of motion activity.

At Ring, every device and service we make is designed to help give Neighbors peace of mind inside, protection outside, and a connection to what’s happening in the neighborhood.
We are happy to provide you with more information regarding the motion alerts issue that you mentioned in your review. This camera uses adjustable motion detection and runs on passive infrared sensors. The system identifies visitors via a moving heat signature and sends a notification to your smart device when one is detected. If you do not wish to receive notifications for motion events, simply toggle off the "Motion Alerts" tab on the device's page in the Ring app. You can adjust three preset motion zones and their distances under the "Motion Settings" tab on the device's page in the Ring app. Additionally, you can choose how often the camera checks for movement in those predefined zones via the "Motion Frequency" setting. If you find that your camera is picking up too much motion, we recommend lowering the "Motion Sensitivity" under the "Motion Settings" tab. It is important to ensure that you have the proper motion settings in place for your environment. This also includes changing the "Motion Frequency" to "Regularly" or "Periodically" in the Ring app.
Accuracy in motion detection can also be improved by enabling the "Smart Alerts" feature for people only in your Ring app. To enable "Smart Alerts", please follow these steps:
Tap the menu (≡) on the top left.
Tap "Devices."
Tap the device that you want to adjust.
Tap "Motion Settings."
Tap "Smart Alerts."
Tap "Enable Feature."
Tap "Continue."
Select the notification options that you want for "Person" and "Other Motion."
You'll see a video camera where you can select or de-select recording and a bell icon to represent alert notifications.
After you've adjusted your settings, tap "Done."

Awesome Security doorbell

I love being able to see who is at the front door it gives me peace of mind and I feel safe in my home. The outdoor views we get are amazing the whole walkway, the road, cars and people walking by. it keeps me connected to my home wherever I am in the world. Thank you Ring!!!

The more expensive versions are hard wired to an existing doorbell, this one is not hard wired. You just hang it on your wall and go! The battery lasts 4-5 months before charging is necessary. Very easy to charge--just plug it into a computer or charging block.
