I was super excited to get this and had really high hopes for it but I kinda regret getting it. I’ve owned this doorbell and another Ring floodlight for a few years now and I’ve really been debating on just getting rid of them and replacing them entirely. I didn’t realize this before purchasing, which I get is my fault, but I didn’t realize you needed a monthly subscription to use basically all of the advertised features. Oh well, that’s fine, I got a subscription anyways, but the subscription cost has raised slightly almost every year now yet there are never really any new features or anything. I just noticed the other day actually, Ring did add new features, but locked it behind ANOTHER separate subscription. I really don’t get why they felt the need to make an entirely new and separate subscription add-on when I’m already paying one. I’ll miss out on those features since I really refuse to support their greed, but it does bother me that the camera quality is pretty lackluster. Especially in low-light environments, you really can’t see much as the night vision is pretty bad. It does the trick though I guess. I’m sure there’s better options and especially ones from companies that don’t try to nickel and dime you, but this product is probably below average. I would maybe have it for a vacation home or property that I’m not at often, but I really would not recommend this for a primary home.

I purchased 3 of these as Christmas gifts, all recipients loved it and was very pleased with the ease of installation and the added security it gives them. All three are still working well with no complaints.

Absolutely love this video doorbell. Not that I get a lot of visitors but the motion alerts in itself has made this product worth the buy. One night in particular,I receive a motion alert. An unidentified person is walking almost me and my 3 other neighbors apartment. I immediately go outside and find the person and comforted him (not advisable) and he denied walking in the area of our complex. I said really, the doorbell caught you dude and his story changed real quick!! The person only alert option lets me know its not an animal setting off my alarm. Have not received a false alert yet!!! Will never do without a device like this again, Ring has awesome products to make you feel safe!!

A must have, long lasting battery, easy setup, more useful than the regular security system

I love my ring doorbell. It has been a game changer for me when expecting packages. I also like that I can see any unexpected visitors and can speak to them when I’m home or away.

I use this every day and monitor the app all the time. its a super cheap plan and has paid for itself in piece of mind. Super clear picture and super easy to use. only downfall is the battery life has dropped significantly and it takes a while to charge.

I am pleased with the installment of the ring video doorbell and the device.........however, i was told to get a ring backup power since i thought it would be wifi. When the installer arrived, he said it could be wired since we already had our original doorbell and told me I could return the ring backup power. I was at the store and paid for the device, installment and the backup power. A few days later i went back and changed the color of the device and they had to refund the whole thing and recharge me for the same items. Now I have no need for the backup, can I return this item. I have been very satisfied with my blink cameras and my ring door bell camera. I have felt a sense of security while being able to check camera and see completely clear day and night camera alerts. I am very satisfied with my purchases

Excellent job long battery life and the best video camera I have ever found.

The quality of the camera is awesome. Setting up was a breeze and compared to my Vivint doorbell, this Ring has a better alert and picks up human movement everytime.
