We recently purchased the ring doorbell after not having a doorbell for years and the added security was a plus. It records motion and when someone has rung the doorbell. The camera has a wide enough view that we can see into the street and watch our cars as well. I would add that in order for the record feature to continue working you need to purchase the ring protect which is fairly inexpensive and would recommend having. And if you would like the the doorbell to ring inside the house i would also purchase the chime.

We are very happy with our ring doorbell. Our only complaint is the battery doesn’t last as long as they say. We live on a busy street and so it picks up cars a lot but it also doesn’t record as long as we set it to and it stops recording after a certain length even though we set it for the longer. Either way it’s still a pretty decent video doorbell for the price. My advice is buying a WiFi extender so that you are not having to wait for it to load up the live feeds.
