I have one on every door to my house . It captures everything that sets it off from wildlife, to visitors, to even shadows. Cool to have eyes on everything even if yours are not.

I researched the best value security system and landed on ring, which has not disappointed. Highly recommend. I bought this for my grandmother but will be converting my own house to ring as well.

At first I did not like that the battery was internal and not easy to take out to charge every time. But, it last 2-3x longer than the other so I appreciate it now. If it goes back on sale I’ll buy more. I have 5 of these all screwed in various places outdoors. Screwed on fences etc. all exposed to elements and after a year have lasted.

However, I had some issues getting it to charge when connected to the existing doorbell wiring. Even after consulting an electrician, we couldn’t resolve the issue. Fortunately, charging it via USB works reliably—the battery typically lasts three months or more on a single charge.

Great picture

I decided to use battery and wifi for the sake of the view needed instead of the doorbell. The battery drains within 5 days with recording pretty much every motion it detects. After charging the battery which charges quickly I adjusted my motion detection so that the battery doesn't drain as fast. We will see... The picture quality is very good as well as the sound on both ends. I've recommended this to my mom.

I can always know when packages are delivered, when people are walking through my yard, and when my wife gets home from work. The battery life is incredible! I've gotten 2 months out of it so far, and it;s still at 40%
