    Seek out a Professional Install for wired.

    My intent was to have this installed by Geek Squad. They failed me with the install, damaging my in house door chime. I took it back and purchased the Ring 4 with the battery and installed it myself. Still going back and forth with Geek Squads insurance company to have someone pay for the repairs.

      If your videos have white-washed faces, you may need to adjust the angle of your security camera or doorbell so light doesn't overexpose the images that are being recorded. Each different model of Ring doorbell has a corresponding mounting kit or corner kit to change the angle of the doorbell.

Here at Ring, we take your security and peace of mind seriously. Please know that we are here to ensure that we can find a resolution together.

      If you are experiencing poor audio or video quality during a live view, but your recordings are fine, this can be caused by either a poor connection between your mobile device and the cloud servers, or a connectivity problem between the Ring device and your router. In rare cases, however, this can be caused by settings in your router.

    Worst experience of my life. You're all a bunch of liars. Telling people you have a product, supplying them w fake tracking (mis) information without don't physically having it. Stop lying to your customers!!

It is a valuable device that is designed to notify you as to who may be near your home. Please know that it is a priority for us to be of assistance and find a resolution to your concern.

      After reading your review, it seems that your Ring Video Doorbell Wired is having trouble staying connected to your home wifi. When this occurs, we recommend rebooting your wifi modem and router. Since your router and modem are usually the hardest working devices in your house, for optimal performance, you should reboot them about once a month. To reboot routers or modems, follow the instructions below:
      Unplug your router or modem from its power supply (don’t just turn it off).
      If your router and modem are separate, unplug both of them.
      Wait at least 30 seconds, then plug them back in.
      Wait for your internet to be restored.

    I did order doorbell with chime But I only received the doorbell didn’t notice when I picked it up that they only gave me the doorbell and I installed it and then realized where is the doorbell

    I was not informed that I could not get a refund only a credit. I live 40 miles from a Best Buy. My daughter could not use the ring so I returned it . When will I use a credit, good deal for best buy!

    Limited motion section

    Bought Ring WiFi smart doorbell wired hoping the motion detection would help me see vehicles in my driveway. Unfortunately the rang on the motion detection is only about 15 feet. That does almost nothing for me. Disappointing considering the zone information shows my whole drive within the covered zone. I would consider another device, however none of the specs appear to include motion detection distances.

      It sounds like your device is not picking up motion as expected. You can adjust your motion settings to your specific requirements in the Ring app. One of the settings you can adjust is the motion zone. Motion Zones allow you to define a specific area that you want your Ring doorbell or security camera to cover while ignoring everything outside that area. To adjust your motion zones, open the Ring app and follow these steps:

      Tap the three lines on the top left.
      Tap Devices.
      Tap the device you want to adjust.
      Tap Motion Settings.
      Tap Edit Motion Zones on the top of the screen.
      Tap Main Zone on the bottom to adjust the main area.
      Tap Done on the top right to save your zone.

    When it does work i can see things clearly but if it gets wet or cold it quit working and supposed to be weather proof. I would not recommend to anyone else

    I can't get this to connect to our network. We have excellant signal strength throughout the house and 3 devices are further away from the hub and work fine.

What you describe is not the experience we want you to have, rest assured we hear you and are here to offer our help.

      As you have mentioned you do not feel this is wifi related, we will first want to address the physical environment in which your doorbell is mounted. The Ring Doorbell Wired must be hardwired to a transformer with 10-24 VAC, 20-40VA max, and 50/60Hz. Once you have verified your environment is conducive to supporting the doorbell, we will next want to check the signal strength at the physical mounting location of your doorbell.

      It is important to remember that the internet speed coming to your house is not the same as the wireless connection around your house, and that many factors can cause issues with wireless performance. These can be things such as obstacles in the way of the signal (big metal objects, big thick walls, double glazing, fridges, microwaves and other devices), the position of your wireless router, or interference from neighboring networks called ‘channel interference’. In instances where the wifi connection is weak at certain points, you may want to consider adding a wifi extender, such as the Chime Pro, or implementing a mesh network.

During the installation of this doorbell, you will be instructed to bypass the existing doorbell chime in your home. This means that after installation, your home doorbell system will not sound when the device’s button is pressed. If you wish to hear audio alerts in your home, you can pair your Video Doorbell Wired with a Ring Chime or compatible Alexa device.

    It is a great product, however, the one I purchase do not allow you to use your regular door bell. Also the features only work for a limied time. The ring want you to purchase a monthly plan to get all of the features such as viewing who has been at your door, or person mofion. It not worth spending more money, if you dont have too.

      The Ring Doorbell Wired uses an included jumper cable to bypass your home’s internal chime kit, so it will not ring inside. If you’d like audio notifications inside your home, you’ll need to purchase a Ring Chime to hear them.

      Also, Ring gives a complimentary 30-day trial with each new Ring device. After 30 days, you can choose if you would like to purchase a Ring Protect Plan. A Ring Protect Plan is not necessary to view real-time notifications on your Ring cameras. Without the Ring Protect Plan, you can still use the live view and two-way audio features. You are still able to see who is at your door and answer motion notifications. In order to see past recorded videos from your ring device, you will need the optional Ring Protect Plan, which starts at $3/month per device or $30/year per device. We understand the importance of using your new Orbi mesh system, as this allows you to better the connection to your Ring Video Doorbell - Wired. What you describe is not the experience we want you to have, rest assured we hear you and are here to offer our help.

      If you haven't already, try relocating one of your Orbi access points to different areas of the house. This will help determine if the issue is distance or interference related. You should try a new set up attempt each time you move the Orbi access point.

      Please bear in mind that your Ring Video Doorbell - Wired is only compatible with 2.4 GHz networks. As best practice, you can set your Orbi mesh system to channel 6 for 2.4 GHz wifi networks.

      You can also disable the WMM (Wi-Fi Multimedia) setting on your Orbi mesh network, which tends to help wifi enabled cameras to perform as intended.

      Reboot the Orbi and wait for a good 5-10 minutes for your router to "settle" itself and for your access points (if any) to sync back to the router.
