We have troublesome kids in a neighborhood where everyone passes by our house going to/from the school, and we've had great success in identifying the kids banging on our and other people's doors and running away. Talked to their parents, and it's been good so far! Also, it lets me talk to people outside the door when I'm on the toilet!

Bought the hardwired version and it was easier to install than I thought. Feel more at ease knowing who is at the front door. Love you can monitor thru your phone. If you want something basic and not all the extra features can’t go wrong with price (wired).

This item was a replacement for an earlier version of the Ring doorbell which didn't have all the features I wanted. The new wired version is a big improvement and I especially appreciate that I can move the plug-in chime module to whichever part of the house I am in or is most convenient.
