We are happy to provide you with more information regarding the delay concern that you mentioned in your review.

It sounds like the device is not performing as expected. Notification delays are often related to wifi connection or mobile device variables. A delay of under six seconds is expected due to signal fluctuation. To learn more about your device's signal strength, follow these steps:
Open the Ring app.
Tap the menu (☰).
Tap Devices.
Select the Ring device you would like to test.
Tap on the Device Health tile.
Scroll to Signal Strength under the Network section.
The green, amber, and red colors are indicators of your device connection. Green is good; red is poor.

Check your mobile device's signal. If your mobile device has one or two bars, this could be causing issues accessing your Ring device. For best results, make sure you're connected to wifi from wherever you are.

As a general rule, most Ring devices function best when upload and download speeds are around 2 Mbps or greater. If your speeds are much slower than that, you might try moving your router closer to your Ring device or (if necessary) calling your internet service provider to discuss getting faster internet speeds.

If your device appears to be missing a lot of motion, you may want to check the motion frequency setting. The motion frequency control allows you to reduce alerts from repetitive patterns of motion or increase alerts so you get notified about the motion events that matter to you.

Follow these steps to adjust the motion frequency:
Tap the menu (≡) on the top left of the Dashboard.
Tap Devices.
Select the device you'd like to adjust.
Tap Motion Settings.
Tap Advanced Settings.
Tap Motion Frequency.
Select Frequently, Regularly or Periodically.
Frequently: Motion detection always stays active. Shortest battery life.
Regularly: Motion detection takes a short break after each Motion Alert. Medium battery life.
Periodically: Motion detection takes a longer break after each alert. Maximum battery life.
Tap Save in the upper-right corner.

We are pleased to read that you are enjoying the features and functionality of the Ring Video Doorbell Wired. Your Ring doorbell works with any other device created by Ring and can perform all the functions expected of a video doorbell in a security system. For home automation, you can use an Amazon Alexa device. With this integration, you can setup routines and other helpful automations. You can connect your compatible Amazon Echo, Echo Show, Echo Hub, Fire TV, or Fire Tablet to your Ring device and use Alexa voice commands to do the following (and more): Answer your door (and receive chime notifications on your Alexa-enabled device). Speak to your visitors. Get a Live View from your doorbell or camera feed (only for compatible devices with screen display). First, you’ll need to download the Alexa app on your mobile device or tablet. Get the Alexa app from the Apple App Store (iOS devices), or the Google Play Store (Android devices). You may also need to update your mobile device's operating system. If you already have the Ring app you'll need to ensure you have the latest version.
Next, follow these steps to add Ring as a Skill in the Alexa app: Open the Alexa app and go to More. Tap Skills & Games. Tap the Search icon, enter Ring, then select it from the results.

Type Ring into the search field. Tap Ring (first result). Tap Enable to Use. Sign in with your Ring account details to link your Ring and Amazon accounts. Tap Enable Skill and Link Accounts. If your account is already linked, tap Enable Skill. Once the Skill is enabled, tap Discover Devices. Alexa will be enabled on all of your Ring devices. To disable Alexa from a particular device, tap Forget next to the device name. Note: If your Ring devices do not appear after you tap Discover Devices, you can say, “Alexa, discover my devices,” or tap the Devices icon at the bottom right corner of the Alexa app.
