Be careful of which one you get since some require a higher voltage transformer than what you find in most homes. If you have the smaller one then you will have to replace that as well. That’s why I went with this one.

Not only it video and capture the surrounding but love that that fact it has the the neighborhood feature of what is happening around your area. Love it!

Great Ring Video Doorbell bundle.

Easy to install and connect to existing wiring. Chime setup was simple and I like the multiple sounds that can be installed. Would buy again.

I have since added more Ring cameras, motion detectors and a Ring alarm system. All was installed by the Geek Squad. Very happy with the added security and the great installation by the Geek Squad.

He also loves the fact that it comes with a chime since he doesnt always have his phone on him especially when hes farther away from the bell.

Owned for 1 week when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Responds much faster than our 7 year-old Eufy, and Ring no longer requires a subscription, which I didn't want or need - those are the plusses. One of the minuses is that the Eufy unit came with a little mounting wedge, to allow the doorbell camera to point a little more out towards the street (necessary for the way I had to mount it). I mounted the Ring to the wedge and it works great. The other minus is that Eufy has a range setting, which I could set to keep it from detecting my neighbor's comings and goings. I don't see a way to do that with Ring.

We are happy to inform you that Camera Motion Zones setting can help you better detect motion in the areas that matter the most to you, and reduce the number of undesired motion alerts. To optimize your motion zones and ensure that the device will detect accurately, please follow these steps:Open the Ring app to the main dashboard.
Tap more (•••) on the camera you want to access.
Tap your device's Settings.
Tap Motion Settings.
Tap Camera Motion Zones.
Tap Add Zone.
Drag the points to set your boundary and tap Save.

Always a good day when the Geek Squad show up to install something for you!

Owned for 9 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This was purchased a long with an Alexa for my 84-year-old mom who uses a walker and wanted something so she can see who is in her front yard walking up to her door. With the Alexa, she knows when someone is at her door and whether she wants to get up or not to go to the door. She also can talk to that person to let them know she is headed to the door (which take time). The wired chime is loud enough when she is in another room away from Alexa to let her know someone rang the Ring bell. The only little complaint is that I have an APP on my phone to know who comes to moms. The sound quality sometimes is not that great. Or it's a delay in talking to the person at the door.

And if we receive a package we do not let it go and we can receive it on time.

It is cumbersome to sign up for the monitoring service as you can not use the App to sign up. The door bell is very sensitive. Each time the wind blows the door bell chimes. The camera that we have on he garage, the batter needs to be charged at lest twice per week.

It sounds like you have some concerns with the battery life and motion detection of your device. The Ring Video Doorbell Wired offers advanced motion detection with customizable motion zones. Camera Motion Zones can help you detect motion in the areas that matter the most to you and reduce the number of "false" motion alerts (such as cars driving by). By drawing your camera's motion zones to exclude high-traffic areas like public paths and roads, you can increase your Ring device's effectiveness. Follow these tips to optimize your camera's motion zones:
Make your Ring device's view as clear as possible. Motion detection can sometimes trigger "false" alerts because of moving trees, lightning, the rising or setting sun, reflections off a shiny object, headlights, shadows, and more. To reduce false alerts, adjust your motion zones, remove shiny objects, cut back tree branches that create moving shadows, or angle your device to avoid the sun.
Look for high-traffic areas. Note any high-traffic areas, such as busy streets or sidewalks. If you receive too many motion alerts from your Ring device, you can adjust your motion zones to exclude these areas.
Exclude areas you don’t need to monitor. Note the potential paths people take to approach your device. Then redraw your motion zones to exclude areas where you rarely see people, such as behind locked gates, hedges, or walls.
If your device is capturing an excessive number of events each day, you may need to recharge your battery sooner. To prevent excessive activity, under Motion Settings for your device in the Ring app, you can:
Adjust your Motion Sensitivity slider to a lower sensitivity
Redraw your Customizable Motion Zones
Change Motion Frequency to regularly or periodically
You could also adjust the direction of your Ring device so it doesn't detect as much motion.
