Installation was super easy for the wired version. I liked how the app walked me through the process. For some reason it took several tries over several days to get the included chime to connect to the ring, which was annoying. Now that everything is fully functioning I couldn’t be happier.

We are happy to share some troubleshooting steps to help you diagnose and fix common video issues that you may experience with Ring doorbells and cameras. Ring devices with 1080p video require at least 1 Mbps upload and download speeds, though 2 Mbps is recommended for optimal performance. In addition to ensuring that you have sufficient wifi speeds, you will also want to check the signal strength of your device. A poor wifi signal can cause connectivity with your Ring device to be unreliable. Ring application to ensure the device’s RSSI is within an acceptable range. The recommended range for optimal performance is 0 to -60 for the RSSI.

She absolutely loves it! She gets to see who is there and she get to talk to them if she chooses. We also have it connected on several members of the family devices to keep an eye on her and as well as whom comes to her door! Its awesome.

It's hook up to Amazon Alexa allows us to view the door without being on our phone.

Too sensitive

I get notifications every time a car drives by my house. Also for some reason, I can’t get the door chime to work. Followed the directions for installing the jumper wire, but still no sound from the original chime or the included chime. It does chime on my phone though.

With motion detection, you might have to play around with the settings to find what works best for your home. Try adjusting the Motion Zones and Motion Sensitivity https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/210243483-Utilizing-Motion-Zones-with-your-Ring-Devices. It's also important to note that the Video Doorbell Wired will not ring your internal chime kit. You can link it to the Ring Chime so an audible alert is played from the Chime when someone presses the button. It is connected to the wiring from my original doorbell. Because my original doorbell was not well positioned for my Ring doorbell, I bought a swivel mount on Etsy to perfectly position my Ring so that I could see people approaching my door and also ringing the doorbell.

We have battery powered Doorbells that don't require an existing doorbell circuit, and hardwired models that do need an existing doorbell circuit.
