We are pleased to know that you are getting great use out of your Ring Video Doorbell - Wired. Our goal with this device is to provide our users an effective way to secure their home. With 1080p HD video, two-way audio, and real-time motion detection, you can stay in the know with events happening at your front door.
Although delays may exist, there are ways to minimize them. The Ring app offers built-in motion controls that adjust where and how often your device picks up motion. By picking up motion as early as possible, you reduce any delay in receiving an alert, and thus loading the video.
For example, you can increase the Motion Frequency setting on your device to Frequent. This tells the device to look for movement more often. To learn more about Motion Frequency, please read our article below.

If the delays are happening while loading a Live View, the issue may be resolved by rebooting your router. Today's routers handle a lot of information, and may benefit from the occasional reboot. You should only need to power down your router for a moment or so. Once back online and reconnected, you should notice reduced delays in launching the video feed.
