Ring doorbell

It helps protect my family and that I can see everything that’s going on for deliveries coming who’s coming and going ringing the doorbell it’s a really good nice product to have for your safety of your home. Easy doorbell install

Easy install but had to buy a plug in transformer on amazon to get power to it. Office staff love it.

Because I found my original one. Why buy something new when the other one? Aint broken. Is a good wise man. Don't fix it if it ain't broken.In other words, don't buy it.If you already have one but I can't say I do love my ring.I don't know how anyone goes on in life without one

Great Wired Smart Doorbell with Handy Chime

It was easy to install and connect to my existing doorbell wire. The phone app setup was also easy to follow. The slim design is a great feature, versus the wider models, as it fit better in the location of my old doorbell. The wide view lens provided a very clear nearly 180 degree panoramic view and did not have that typical fisheye view. The chime also worked well and provided a wide variety of chime sounds to choose from. The pricing is also very reasonable and a great value.

I hired a handyman to install the video doorbell to the existing doorbell wiring. The chime was plugged into the hallway AC socket. This is a great security feature and a good way to screen who is at the door. It missed one delivery of a bed I purchased left at my doorway. I downloaded the app to my phone and get almost instant notifications of when someone is at the door. I will probably be purchasing the subscription for monitoring the front door. I am happy with my purchase so far.

The setup is fairly quick and easy but at times the wifi connectivity can be disconnected, which would take a reset to make it work and every time the external panel will need to be removed with a special screw driver (supplied) to reset, I wish there was a simpler way to reset. I also wish Ring supplied \ included in the pack, the left and right angle wedge for better placement & viewing which is needed during installation of the door bell, to get a clear focus area view, the wedges are expensive, considering it is a piece of plastic. Overall it is a fantastic product and worth it. Ring customer service is awesome and the plans are also very budget friendly.

Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Ring wired doorbell works once you verifique that your doorbell transformer provides more than 15 VAC to the Ring doorbell and do not believe the 8 VAC lower requirement. In my case I had originally 11 VAC and the Ring doorbell will never go into the configuration stage. Also make sure that you purchase the combo doorbell and chime package as this doorbell is not compatible with the original chime in your home. Last in order to save videos and reviewed them later you need to pay $4.99 a month for the cheapest subscription since the doorbell doesn’t have any local storage and needs to store the videos in the Ring cloud.

It sounds like there was some confusion regarding the voltage requirements. The Ring Video Doorbell Wired requires a hardwired transformer rated at 10 to 24 VAC, 50/60 Hz, with a power output between 8 VA and 40 VA. This information can be found on Ring’s official support page. For your safety, only use an existing doorbell transformer within the range specified above or compatible Ring accessories to power your device.
The Ring Home Plan provides valuable capabilities, such as accessing paid features and the ability to save, download, and review footage captured by your Ring device. Without a Ring Home Plan, you can still view real-time video for Ring doorbells and cameras and answer doorbell notifications when they happen, but you don’t get video recordings of those events.
