This doorbell doesn’t pick up motion until someone is right in front of my door. If you’re quick enough I will only catch the back of a porch pirate. Even with motion sensitivity on its highest level and motion zone set. Mind you I own the Ring doorbell pro and flood light cam with no motion issues, I literally pick up motion of up to 30ft with these. I went ahead and brought another pro version I get notifications from cars in the streets. Both the wired and pro version are 1080p but the pro has better picture quality, the difference is noticed when zooming in. This wired version is a nice budget if you’re ONLY looking for a video doorbell. If your looking for a combination of video doorbell and security camera (especially for porch pirates and car door checkers…)

My only concern is the app that was installed on my phone to notify me someone is at the door does not always work right away which is annoying.

My only disappointment is the need to subscribe for a year video memory. I have Swann security cameras and there is no cost for saving video to review.

Seems to work pretty well, but there are times when we have not been notified of people at the door.

Not sure were the cause is. I have 200 mg and Spectrum. I do not stream. So there shouldn't be interference.

After reading your review, it seems that your Ring Video Doorbell Wired is having trouble staying connected to your home wifi. When this occurs, we recommend rebooting your wifi modem and router. Since your router and modem are usually the hardest working devices in your house, for optimal performance, you should reboot them about once a month. To reboot routers or modems, follow the instructions below:
Unplug your router or modem from its power supply (don’t just turn it off).
If your router and modem are separate, unplug both of them.
Wait at least 30 seconds, then plug them back in.
Wait for your internet to be restored.

It sounds like you have some concerns regarding the installation of the devices. The Ring Video Doorbell Wired gets its power from the doorbell system and is designed to replace an existing doorbell button. It will need to be connected to existing wiring and installed on the wall using the included screws. The Ring Chime simply plugs into a standard wall outlet. Each device will be connected to your home's wifi using the Ring app. Visit our support center for step-by-step guides.
