This ring doorbell was packaged with a chime. Works well only the set up took a while and everytime you transfer the chimes location, it needs to be reprogrammed.

I cannot get the motion sensor to restrict the sensitivity of the unit, so I have it shut off. It warns me constantly of every vehicle passing by our house. That is excessive; The camera does display a very good picture and I like the panoramic feature.

It is a valuable feature that is designed to notify you as to who may be near your home. Please know that it is a priority for us to be of assistance and find a resolution to your concern.
Based on your review it seems that you are having trouble with your Ring Video Doorbell Wired picking up correct motion. The Ring Doorbell sees the world is through a network of PIR or "Passive Infrared" motion sensors. These are heat sensors that detect motion by monitoring heat within the detection area. Since people are hotter than the surrounding areas, as a person enters the detection area the heat measurements change. The motion sensors register this change as movement and send out an alert. If this is the case, we recommend you to adjust your current set motion zones. Motion Zones allow you to define a specific area that you want your Ring device to cover while ignoring everything outside that area. By selecting Motion Zones to cover only areas you want the Ring device to monitor, you can effectively monitor the area you want as well as reduce the number of “false positive” motion alert. Used for less than 30 days but so far everything is working. Very impressive beginners door camera. I do plan on purchasing more for the remaining entry ways of my home.

I am 75 years old and can not hear the up stairs doorbell. This combo of doorbell and wireless chine means that I can now hear it in my shop.

Rest assured, we are here to provide you with solutions today.
With Chime Pro (2nd Gen), you can hear notifications anywhere in your home and extend your wifi signal to boost the network for all your Ring Video Doorbells and Cams. To get started, follow the steps below.
Choose your Ring device's location.
* First select the location where you want to connect Chime Pro. Keep in mind, you can only hear alerts for Ring doorbells and cameras at the same location.
Positioning Chime Pro.
* When choosing where to plug in Chime Pro, pick a spot that halfway between your wifi router and the Ring device that is furthest away from the router. That way Chime Pro will be able to best extend your Ring network signal.
Add your Chime Pro in the Ring app.
1. Open the Ring app to the main dashboard.
2. Tap Set Up a Device at the bottom of the screen.
3. Tap Chimes.
4. Scan the QR code on the back of the device with the camera on your mobile device to begin set up.
Plug Chime Pro into an outlet.
* Make sure the outlet where you plug Chime Pro in is not obstructed by any furniture or dense walls – this will affect the signal.
Chime Pro will automatically enter Setup Mode.
* The light on the front of your Chime Pro will start to flash green when it's ready to connect.
Connect to Chime Pro's local network.
iOS: Tap Joinwhen the Ring app asks to join the Ring device's wifi network.
Android : Your device should automatically connect to the Ring device's wifi network.
If you're having trouble connecting, try going to your wifi network and select ChimePro-XXXXXX (the X's will be numbers from its unique device ID).
Connect Chime Pro to your wifi.
* Input your wifi network password. Remember, the password is case sensitive.
