Easy install, but check your transformer first

But after lots of research I finally got the doorbell to work. Just a caution to anyone else who is interested in the wired doorbell. Check to see if your transformer will push out enough power to this doorbell. I had to change out my old transformer to a stronger one. This did the trick.

Ring-Wi-Fi Smart Video Doorbell

I should of had a salesman who is knowledgeable on the Ring Doorbells. My salesman admitted that he was NOT very knowledgeable and I am not a tech person!

Several Ring Doorbells are battery powered and do not require any in-home wiring, which may work better than the Video Doorbell Wired. This one wired. A little confused by installation instructions regarding wire for existing door chime transformer, but got it working. Able to see/monitor both doorbells in the app. Pleased with purchase.

My only complaint, if you call it a complaint, is the sensitivity. We live at the end of a cul-de-sac and have a fairly deep driveway. The Ring doorbell chimes when cars zip thru the curve.

The outdoor background light makes it difficult to identify people until they are quite close. Can not find a setting to change any brightness settings. It works great during night time and for the sake of knowing who is at and has been on my front porch it is reassuring.
