I like the Ring Video Doorbell. It was easy to install and it works good. The instruction video was good...but not the written instructions. I wish I could activate the video without the motion or door bell being pushed...but it works great anyway. It would have been good to have the Ring Chime as part of the kit.

I am glad I purchased this product. When someone rings more doorbell, I am alerted on my cell. I can talk to them and they don't even know I am not home. When the dogs bark, I can review all activity outside to see and hear why. We have Ring app downloaded on an iPhone, 2 android cells and my tablet. I can turn off motion alerts, I don't really need to know how many times my neighbor goes onto his porch, but I can review the time if I want to. It helps it goes by heat detection and not motion. I do live on a busy street. So far, based on my recommendation, 2 friends have also purchased this product. All things you need to hang the doorbell come with the kit, except the power drill. I had to use the drill bit that came with the kit to install on my brick home.

Ptobably vloser to 5 stars but not quite. This camera is relatively easy to set up. Wish there was a way to fine tune the motion detector since it goes off whenever the wind blows the shrubs. All in all I am satisfied with the purchase and would recommend it to anyone.

A direct replacement to a 12v door bell and easy to install. Works with wifi or cell signal. So far reliable within the U.S. But sometimes there is delay when overseas. The motion detection can pick motion as long distances.

I had been wanting to purchase one of these for a very long time. It seemed like a good way to keep an eye on packages delivered to my porch. I caught it on sale when the black friday deals came out, nearly $100 off. The packaging isn't ideal, as the plastic casing had scuffed the front of the housing around the camera. I'm very picky, so it frustrated me but I went through and installed it. Installation was super easy, drilling into my brick was unnerving, but you have to. Set up to the wifi was easy, I have no range problems as it is about 6 feet away from my modem in the house. I've yet to find a range that doesn't pick up every vehicle that drives by, so a bit annoying to have it go off every 5 minutes. Video quality is good, and the audio as well. No issues with the app. Overall happy with it, but glad it wasn't $200.

I recently purchased the Ring - Video Doorbell (1st Gen) and have been extremely satisfied with its performance. The installation was quick and easy, and the video quality is excellent. The app is user-friendly and allows me to see who is at my door from anywhere. I also love the added security feature of being able to speak to whoever is at my door through the app. Overall, I would highly recommend the Ring doorbell to anyone looking to enhance the security of their home.

The device works as expected. I mounted on the door directly with no power supply. The battery is at 25% now after over a month of use. There is a slight delay for the ring to happen on my iPhone but this is acceptable. Image and sound are good. I would only suggest that the material used look and feel cheap. Two screws from the mounting plate broke while I was installing (without forcing, just cheap stuff)

I bought this for my 100+ year old house that didn't have an existing doorbell. The Ring doorbell was easy to install and set up. There's more of a delay that I'd like between when motion is detected and it alerts on my phone, but that's my only complaint. I bought the Ring chime to go with it and I'm satisfied with the performance.

First off I've owned and installed dozens of ring products and this one is by far the easiest to install and operate, especially for older folks. The quality for the entry level device is well built and durable. The only con is that I wish they came with a mounting plate to put over older doorbells.

I like the Ring, picture quality is good, installation was easy. There is a lag in seeing someone who just quickly comes up and turns away preventing a capture of the face. But a normal visitor who rings the bell is identifiable and the audio quality is good. Get alerts from wherever I am and can see and talk to that person.

I have been looking at many doorbell type security cameras for a while now due to recent thefts from my front porch. This product is exactly what I was looking for. The installation and setup was quick and easy. The video quality is good and the notifications that I receive on my smart phone are instantaneous. Highly recommended !!

I was iffy about buying the ring doorbell but let me tell you... it's one of the best purchases I've made. The installation is a breeze and multiple instruction options are available. This is totally a must buy. You can talk to your guests and watch all movement at your front door. Gives me peace of mind with my deliveries too!

Works great, quality product, easy to use and install

Install was pretty smooth though the drill bit did not fit my WORX cordless drill (not Ring’s fault). It’s great since we can watch the kids leave and enter the house everyday. Also a big deterrent to porch pirates. Ring has a paid service where you can share videos to keep the neighborhood safe. Overall, a big thumbs up.

Love, love, love this. I got this on sale which was a great incentive. It was very easy to set up on my phone and easy to install at my front door. I receive notifications that someone is at my door wherever I am and I can talk to them remotely. Gives me a great sense of security. I highly recommend this for everyone!

This camera is very helpful. At first it might be a bit confused figuring how to install it but after that watching youtube video, it is very easy to install yourself. The ring is a bit of 5 second delay but i got all images of what went on outside of my house. You got to pay monthly or yearly fee for storage but it is worth it and not expensive.

Really like this product, easy to install and setup app. We are able to see anyone at our door and front yard. Video is crystal clear. We have been able to track our packages and our mail that was suppose to be on hold while we were out of town. I believe just having the light on the ring helps detour porch pirates

I have determined so far that the battery will need to be charged more often than they say. Of course usage, motion, ring alerts etc. I'm certain effect that if there are many as mine are. The price was right at $99.00. Wish it was possible for me to hard wire the doorbell but too expensive to hire an electrician.

Installation - completely simple, watch the video of how to install and I'm pretty sure my dog could do it. Functionality - Works like a charm. Some times its a bit laggy and can take a bit for the motion to pick up but for the most part it works perfectly. I had a door to door sales person ring the other day while I was on the road and I had the entire convo with the person over my phone. They had no idea I wasn't home and I was able to monitor that someone was at my home. Look - I will admit its not as sleek as I would like to to be but it is pleasing to the eye and doesn't stick out like a sore thumb. I was afraid that people wouldn't know what it was at first and not ring the bell but no one has had that problem. Opportunity - The only flaw I see is that in order to use the camera someone has to trip the motion sensor (which you can adjust as needed) or ring the bell. It would be great if you could use the camera on demand to see what is going on in front of your house at anytime. Summary - great product, works great, Buy it now!

First off these things are so cool! Next door neighbor has had one for a while and we finally decided to buy one. Really adds a sense of security to the front door that you just can't get through a peephole. Install was super easy. A couple of weeks after we got it we went on vacation and got an alert one morning that someone was at our door but my phone was on silent and didn't wake me up. I reviewed the video and saw a man on our doorstep. Took a screenshot and was able to ask neighbors if they'd had the same person coming door to door that morning. Turns out the AT&T tech working at a neighbor's house had gone to the wrong one originally. Really cool to be able to keep an eye on things from out of town!
