This product was extremely easy to install and easy to use. The reason this gets 3 stars is the range for motion detection. I have the settings at the closest you can get and I still pick up every passing car on the street. I have a home in the city so my house has a sidewalk then street and it picks up all the cars as they pass. I need the motion sensor for when I have packages delivered but it picks up everything. They need to work on the depth of the motion sensor. The quality of the picture is great and it’s easy to use the app. So overall it’s a good product, just picks up too much!

We have had the Ring video doorbell for just over a month now. You will likely want to pay the money to keep the cloud recording after the 30 day trial is up so be prepared to pay $3/month or $30 per year. We had to turn down the sensitivity, but overall we are happy with the doorbell so far and haven't had to charge it (though we are curious how many months it will go on the first charge).

I travel daily for my job, so am rarely home to accept packages. When the door bell rings, I am able to speak to the delivery person and tell them to leave the package on my porch. They have no idea if I am in the house or not. It also gives me a warning on my cell phone when there is motion outside. We have a dog sitter that comes and lets our dog out twice a day. I can look and see exactly what time he was let out. I can also tell when my husband or kids get home and it warns me when their vehicle drives by. This is one of the best gifts I have ever received.

Installation was fairly easy. Motion alerts are sometimes annoying when coming in and out but better than not getting any, so I know it works. Definitely provides some peace of mind when we aren't home.

Very Simple, easy to walk through installation. Crystal Clear video, Simple configuration (motion or button push "ring" notifications) RING app is very nice. purchased to eliminate opening the door at night or to solicitors.

I can not express enough this is a must have! Not only for security but to keep up with whats going on around your home. I was looking into getting a security system but the contract and monthly prices had me reconsidering. So I decided to try out just the Ring door bell camera for $100's of dollars less! I must say im very very impressed and is so happy with my decision. Set up was very very easy. I just followed the directions that came with it. The motion alerts are accurate, the doorbell alerts are accurate, the ability to talk through the doorbell/camera is an AMAZING PLUS. Even more amazing is you can go LIVE on your phone and see whats happening right then and there without getting an alert or someone ringing your door bell. Don't let any negative comments stop you from getting this! You missing out if you don't have this. If you got a home security system and not a camera you wasting your money! Come to my front door and I'm going to see you, break in and I got you on camera to share all over the internet! With just a security system without a camera = the theft being alerted to move faster on stealing your belongings without any proof of who did it. With these camera Im watching you and Im Calling the police! No alerts for you to move faster on stealing my belongings! Even if I don't catch you social media will! PLEASE invest in this piece of mind! Im buying another one of these today for my back door.

very good picture and audio, but it doesn't alert me when someone approaches the door bell. starting the phone and ring live view takes me too long

wow thats all i say ehen i opened up box and installed it under a minute easiest i have done in my life works great with samsung smart thing notify me anywhere in my house and get it while its on sale thanks to best buy!

The Doorbell worked so good when it comes to motion sensors, night vision, and the camera quality. The downfall is that if you don't have a existing wiring spot for a doorbell the battery built into the Ring Doorbell dies within a few days when using features like motion detection. I'm not sure if it could be because its been negative degree weather all week that it ha been installed or not if it seems to do better once it warms up I will update my review. But for now its a solid device that will work fine as long as you don't mind charging it weekly.

This door bell works great, good video quality, the motion detection has some room for improvement, it picks up sun reflection on passing vehicles at certain times of say. Good price for online video storage too.

I got this door bell because i wanted to be able to talk to the UPS guys who drop off items without ringing doorbells but this product give me so much more. I can see anyone who approaches my door, i can tell people to give me a few extra minutes if they make it to my house before me. I would highly recommend fast internet for best picture quality and response time. I didn't give it a 5 because i want to be able to be activate my camera without motion or ring. Once they add this feature i will update this post. if you get lots of deliveries or random visitors this is the item for you.

Easy to set up and use. Instructions and tools are all included. Picture is good but the motion sensor settings are sensitive. I either get too many alerts when cars go by the street, even though I set up the range according to the instructions and App indications, or it's not sensitive enough to trigger person walking by. Still a good value and useful.

Got this for Christmas, hooked it up and working like a dream. Very easy set up. Get alerts on my phone. Only thing so far is the motion sensor is very sensitive. But overall a great security device. Recommend!!

I was able to easily install this doorbell to my existing wired set up. It uses my in home chime . Since it is wired, the motion detectio works great. The video quality is good, and the alerts are very timely.

The door bell camera works great, the app is so easy to use. The only complaint is the Motion detector is to sensitive and picks up all the cars that drive by my house. I have reduced the sensitivity but it still too sensitive.

Very easy set up. I used the wired trickle charge option. This version works with low power doorbell systems or without an existing doorbell using the built in battery. Video is good. App is excellent. Motion sensor triggers for every car passing regardless of the sensitivity setting though. I used the scheduler option to eliminate the constant false alerts.

Love this idea and the product looks great and was easy enough to install. My problem is the sensitivity of the motion sensor. I've now backed it almost all the way down but it will picks up cars, especially large trucks that give off more heat, and sends alerts for nothing. I've backed it down quite a bit and don't want to take it down to the minimum but may have to in order to avoid the false alerts. Other than that it works well and does what I want it to do.

This doorbell was easy to install and to setup. It really does make my life easier being able to see/talk to people at the door. And I didn't expect it to make me feel safer in my home but it really does.

It has notified us that someone was at the door 3am and yet the recording shows no one in sight? That's happened a couple of other times.. maybe someone was ringing it, but it was unlikely. The battery level notification doesn't seem accurate all the time...it once increased after a day without a charge? We still like it overall.... we have the extended ring bells inside the house.

Easy to install with hard wire. Very critical tolerance on movement mode - so much so I set to bell ring mode only. Other finishes available which I was not aware of else I would have chosen other.
