Was easy to install. My only complaints are the motion sensor settings dont seem to change anything, and the app can't connect to the door bell 90% of the time after a live alert.

Easy to install. Works pretty well. Doesn't look the ads however. The view is fisheyed and a little slow to pop up on my phone. However, it is far more useful than a peephole or no visual alert at all.

It's extremely convenient to not have to stand in front of the door to answer it in the winter. Also people act differently when they know they are being recorded. I recommend it, great for the price.

This is a great camera if u have a two story home and don't necessarily want to come down to answer the door for pointless people. It is also great when ur not home and are expecting deliveries.

Got this as an added security feature for my home security. The picture quality is good and installation was a breeze. This is a must buy for anyone who wants to add an extra security for their home.

This installs with or without existing powered doorbell. Easy to follow instructions to install and then to pair to the wi-fi network. The Live View seems to work better on an Android (Samsung Edge 7) phone than an iPhone (6+), but that could be because the Samsung is a newer phone. Very effective in picking up motion and also the doorbell ring. I had a slight concern about someone stealing the Ring from our front door, but there are two tiny screws under the unit that need to be removed before the unit will come off, and by then the camera will have captured the person anyway, so I'm not as concerned as before. Very happy with this purchase and am now considering getting one for our back door.

Overall, this is an awesome product and their customer support is fantastic! But the motion sensor is delayed and it isn't consistent. I've been meaning to call their customer support to have them look into it. I also wish it would work in freezing temperatures - I guess we will see how it does this winter. I would buy it again, though. It's a very cool product and has been nice security for us.

Awesome you can see who is at your doorstep and even talk to them. Gives you piece of mind when you have deliveries coming to your home. A bit big but they do offer a smaller version for more money.

I ordered this doorbell about two months ago. I purchased the venetian bronze which looks very nice and seems to be quality made. My son and I hardwired the doorbell by replacing the existing doorbell and had no issues at all in that part of the process. Ring provides everything you need to install it and even a drill bit if you have to use a drill. My only problem was connecting to my internet after I bought a new wireless router because the firewall blocked the video upload. After reviewing this online I was able to find a list of ports to open so I didn't have to turn the firewall down to low or off. I was not willing to sacrifice my internet security just to view someone at the front door. I liked the doorbell so much that I purchased two of the spotlight cams so I could see the side and back of my house. The cameras worked well until I put my firewall on medium and when I attempted to open the ports for the cameras I was blocked several times so I had to return the cameras which is very disappointing. I spoke to my internet provider, my modem customer service and the reps for Ring and since I was unable to resolve the issue I returned them but only with the knowledge that it was my limited ability to understand what I needed to do. I am writing this review to let you know that the representatives at ring are very helpful by phone and by online chat. I felt they would have done more if I had time to keep trying but I had gotten close to the time limit I was able to return the cameras.

This is good to see who is ringing your doorbell, however the motion detector is not good at all. By the time you are notified that there is motion out front and look on your iPhone, whatever the motion was it is gone. The delayed is way off. I have even lowered the level that it monitors for motion but it still picks up a large truck driving by and since I live in a development that is being built sometimes the motion detector goes off way too much.

It’s been a few weeks of having this doorbell. It’s great you can adjust the range of sensitivity it’s surprisingly very clear and love the talking feature. No issues simple to install we love it.

This is the third Ring doorbell, and 8th Ring product overall. Ring is extremely high quality, easy to install, easy to use, and works every time.

The ring doorbell is one of the best purchases I've done. Easy to install and ready to set upon the phone. It brings peace of mind knowing who is at your door while you are away or even at home.

Love this product, it has helped me catch thieves and see what's going on when I am not home. Also great if you wan to talk to someone or get someone off your property! Super easy to use as well!

When the Ring video door bell came out of the market, I have been eyeing to get one but not really necessarily agreeing with the $250+ price point. I am tech savvy and appreciate anything electronics especially anything smart gadgets with remote access. My home has 11 hard wired cameras. Though my primary video door chime does not have audio communication capability. My home builder for some reason find it necessary to have a redundant secondary button type door chime. I bought the ring video doorbell during last Black Friday sale for $99. I hardwired the unit to my existing secondary button type doorbell. The good: Being able to communicate via WiFi remote access to the person at the door. The camera lens has wide angle allows wide video coverage. Microphone sound quality is decent. The motion sensor is a nice touch - for the most part it works, though inconsistent. I guess everybody now knows what a Ring video doorbell is capable of, so another piece of crime deterrent equipment is always a plus. The Bad: Direct glare from a source of light such as noon sunlight turns the camera blind and all you see is a distorted bright white image, Motion activation is oftentimes a tad delayed. It picks up motion from a FedEx person's vehicle pulling up the side walk but did not capture the person actually walking up the door depositing the package without ringing the bell. Monthly payments for the use of memory cloud is nickel and diming customers after the initial purchase. Why not allow a decent memory going by loop and overriding delete the oldest data? Or better yet, allow customers to assign their own dedicated cloud type storage such as NAS? The verdict: Yes, the product serves a decent amount of what it's being marketed for. Functionality wise, Ring needs to iron out some issues as indicated and for Pete's sake, do away the monthly fees. You are doing a deservice to your customers. After all, 90% if not 100% of customers who buy this product already have an existing main security system.

Bought this for the security at night. Delivers that and more. Install is easy unless you need to fabricate a mounting plate because you don't want to drill into your vinyl siding. Setup and confit is a snap.

The Ring doorbell is a great video doorbell that performs flawlessly. The price point is great and it gives me piece of mind while I’m not home that anyone who comes to my door is recorded.

I had a steel security door put on my entrance and it was blocking the doorbell. ring doorbell is very convenient and acts as a security as well! The product is worth every penny high-quality easy to install

Love my Ring doorbell. It is fantastic! Easy set up, works great! Very happy! Only negative thing I can say about is that I was surprised at how much larger the Ring 1 is than the Ring 2.

After looking at this video doorbell product for around a year, we were hesitant to buy it until all the reviews came in, and wow, we are so happy that we made this purchase! With Best Buy's astounding price point, this item was a terrific deal! Installation was relatively simple, thanks to Ring's 24/7 customer service. We opted for the 1st generation unit since we do not need the other features of the newer models. The video quality at night is not the greatest, but faces can still be discerned. The fact that this is user-friendly makes it well worth the investment. We also installed the Ring Video Floodlight on our back patio, and the video quality is better.
