We've had it for about a month and so far, it's working great. The resolution day and night is pretty good. Love that we can talk to the person at the door as well. One draw back is that you can only view past feed if you have the cloud recording subscription. We got a month free upon buying the camera, but still not sure if we're going to keep the subscription. It was quite convenient though. We had a bit of trouble installing the mounting plate to the wall and ended up stripping some screws. If you have one, try to pre-drill holes where you're going to screw in the plate. Guess we should buy a drill, would've made things easier...

Last January I bought this item for my daughter's 48th birthday, per her request. She loved it so much, she wants one for her back door as well. She has raved about it to her siblings as well, and this Christmas I am purchasing 9 of these so that all of my children can experience a greater amount of safety for their front porch area, and for my first daughter her back porch as well.

I Finally got my hands on a Ring Doorbell camera after doing so much research. It was easy to set up so far. I had to go to Home Depot to rent a power drill to create the holes because my house is stucco surface. he set up was easy and the connection was easy. Now I feel secure and I can monitor who comes to my door while I am at work and school. This is the best investment. So Far.

I absolutely love this Video Doorbell. The bronze color also looks great attached to brick. The Camera is clear and the sound is crisp. I was extremely surprised with the wide angle on the camera. It is larger than expected. If you would like to know who is at your door before walking towards it, this video Doorbell is for you.

I purchased three of these, one for each entry to my house. All three were connected, installed and working perfectly within an hour. I have already caught a stranger on my porch looking at a package that had been delivered. My voice scared him away and I was able to notify the police and send the video within 5 minutes. A lot more peace of mind has been added with this purchase!

Pleased with functionality of the Ring doorbell and video camera. Only downside I've found, thus far, is that the motion sensor is far too sensitive; every passing car or change from cloudy to light produces an alert. While you can adjust the sensitivity, the "problem" persists. All told, however, I'm pleased with the purchase of this device.

I replaced my original rind video with this pro. My previous one didn’t work during the winter when it got cold. This one advertised it is good at -5. So far this one has been working great. The video is very clear, and it was very easy to set up

Product is exactly as advertised. Can see, talk and hear everything at front door on my iPhone. Installation is very simple with minimal skills required (but an electric drill if you're installing on a brick wall is required.)

I purchased Ring to replace our doorbell that no longer worked. Our house was built in 1929, so the wires got lost somewhere and we needed a self powered option. We used a cheaper remote doorbell we got from Home Depot, but that had trouble signaling the chime 5 feet inside the house. I did my research on Ring and found it to be able to power off existing wires or it's internal battery (lasts up a year on a single charge). We gave it shot. The install was very simple and effortless with the included bubble level that intuitively attached right to the back plate. This made sure the plate was level. It has 2 small torque screws on the bottom for added security. I assume most thieves don't walk around with that in their pocket. If they did...they could remove those 2 screws and walk away with your doorbell. Upon downloading the iPhone app, I found it to be helpful in setting up the Ring. We initially activated notifications for actual presses of the button, but also the motion sensor feature. That was a mistake. The motion sensor went off every time we pulled out of the driveway or left the house. We decided that was a feature best used when we would go on vacation or were away from the house for an extended period of time. Granted, you can tweak these settings to only activate from 5ft-30ft. It is still sensitive and the sun can affect this. The few few video rings are quite fun and being able to talk through my phone to someone at the door and have them talk back is very cool. I have had it mess up and not activate audio or have delayed response to someone pushing the button too. It's hit or miss, so that's why I gave it 3 stars. It's not perfect, so don't expect that. My wife wouldn't get notifications on her sign in account, but I would mine when not near the house. It's something to consider. The videos are stored on cloud server, which can be upgraded for $30/year. When FedEx, UPS or USPS ring the doorbell and drop off a package...I only get a video of them pulling away. It's fairly delayed. Night vision isn't that bad if you have a porch light. All in all...it's a cool tech product that has some growing room. The iPhone app gets updates and can be enhanced.

We already had a no soliciting sign that didn't stop people from ringing the doorbell. Once we added Ring, salesman take a 2nd look along with the sign right above it and walk away. Yes! It was very easy to install, even my husband who is not technically handyman inclined was able to install it. Now our neighbors all want one.

Was real easy to set up. Picture quality is good. The only thing I don’t like is that there is a couple of second lag when you try to view who is on your porch once you are notified that someone is detected.

I have been wanting this device for a while. Waited until it was on sale. Configuring the device is super simple but the mounting can be difficult if you don’t have the right tools. If your mounting in stucco ensure you have a drill and the correct drill bits and a level before you get started. My existing door bell was wireless so I have to use the battery that comes with the device which leads me to why I only gave it four stars. The battery last less than thirty days and you have to remove the ring off the mounting bracket to charge it in the House. Takes almost 4 hours to fully charge. I would recommend getting there second gen which comes with a removable battery then purchasing a spare which makes your life much easier when the battery dies.

This is a great system. I enjoy the camera. and its very easy to operate.

I bought this during the black friday sale. Just could not resist the price. Because my existing door bell switch is mounted on the side, I installed this directly on the door. The installation took a total of 5 minutes. However, the step to initialize the door bell so it can communicate with the Ring.com cloud was a nightmare. It took over 3 hours and 15 tries to configure the unit so it can get the ip address and transmit whatever information to the Ring.com cloud. There got to be a better way to do this. But all is good now. I configured to receive the ring alert and the motion alert on my iPhone. The alerts are almost instantaneous. The video and voice quality are crisp and clear. The infrared camera can adjust the video based on the light condition. I am getting the optional ring chime so my wife can hear the ring at the back of the house. Just love this thing!

I opted for this version (battery operated) because I wanted to install it in a different location from where my regular doorbell is. I like the idea, it does provide peace of mind but unfortunately the item does not work perfectly. The sensor is difficult to predict. Sometimes it picks up a car on the street and wont pick up a person standing in front of it. Actually, I exchanged mine because the first one I got was picking up motion about 4 out of 10 times. The new one does it about 8 or 9 out of 10 times. Having a good internet connection (i changed providers) also helped improve product performance. Overall, I love the idea and I like the product when it works well. It bothers me a little that it is not the case. For the money, I think this item should perform flawlessly.

We bought this for our mother law for Xmas in Black Friday great price and easy to install to old doorbell wiring and mounting to the wall was super easy! We love ours and she loves hers. App setup is easy as well and for a yearly fee to keep video is only $30.00 a year or don’t pay for the subscription and you can still access video for 24 hours then it gets deleted!

This was one of the best buys that I made when I moved into my new house. I am able to answer my door from anywhere and I love that I can talk to the people too. I recently started using the motion sensor and it works like a charm. It does use more battery though. Overall great product.

Our neighborhood has had a lot of package thefts. Even though the neighbors and I have video cameras, they don't get good video of faces. We installed the Ring doorbell and could not be more pleased. Great video, sensitive and and a wonderful app. Best value for the money. I am buying a second unit to use at work. Recommend highly. Several friends are getting the too.

This is a GREAT product that allows you to know who is at your front door & when! The RING is an especially GREAT product w/online shopping now & porch pirates! Nice to know what is going on at the front door & who has been on it! The RING doorbell is also very attractive & I like the way it lights up at night too! My only regret is that I didn't get one sooner!

Video quality is good, easy to install, and easy to set up on my phone!
