I have used many, many ring products over the years, starting back with the first video doorbell they ever put out. They have always been very durable and good products that just work and do what they are supposed to do. I do like to upgrade them every coupole years to get the latest and greatest model. Thankfully they are very affordable, so upgrading them isn’t a tax on the wallet. Out of the box, this camera is very similar to all other Ring doorbell cameras I have had over the years. They definitely like to pick a design and stick with it! I got the wired version so I don’t have to worry about charging it or anything like that. Getting it installed was a very simple process. You put the mounting bracket on your house, attach the 2 wires that go to your doorbell to the back of the camera, and then mount the doorbell on your house. It really takes less than 10 minutes to complete the whole process. I have other Ring devices, so I already have the app and an account set up. If this is your first Ring device, you will need to download the app and set up the device. Then you just go in the app and select to add a new device and it will walk you through all of the steps you need to get it connected to your account. After that you can dive into the settings and customize the camera to exactly what you need. There are tons of different motion settings, so you can set it to detect all motion, or if you just want people, you can set that as well. You can also set the sensitivity, which is good cause I have a couple trees in view of my doorbell camera, and if I have the sensitivity too high, the wind will constantly set the camera off. So, its good to be able to sial that down a little to only record what you want recorded. You can also customize notifications to your phone, and this does also have the 2-way talk feature so if you aren’t home, you can still talk to visitors at your door through the doorbell camera and be able to hear them as well. I found the audio to be pretty clear and loud enough to easily hear. The video quality on these cameras has always ben great. You get a very wide field of view so you can see our entire porch and most of our front yard. It has 2K resolution, and offers night mode as well so you will get great quality at any time of the day! The Ring ecosystem does charge a monthly fee for cloud storage, but its good piece of mind to know that someone can’t just rip your doorbell camera off your house and then you lose any video that was stored on it. This camera uploads all the recordings to the cloud so you can easily bring them back up, even if your camera gets stolen. You don’t have to have the subscription, but then you will just be able to view the camera and get alerts if someone presses the doorbell. So its up to you what kind of coverage you want to have. Overall, this is another great doorbell camera from Ring. I highly recommend them if you are looking to add some security to your home.

I recently upgraded from an older Ring model to this newest version, and it is absolutely worth it. The video clarity is a massive step up, making it much easier to see faces and delivery packages clearly. Motion alerts feel quicker and more accurate, so I am not getting nearly as many false notifications as before. If you are on the fence about replacing your older Ring doorbell, go ahead and make the jump!

Seems like a quality product but bought the worse model by mistake. Exchanging it took minutes and was very simple. Sales associate was very helpful.

Was going to order from Ring.com. Was going to take near a week to get, checked Best Buy, they had it in stock, went and picked it up same day.

one of the easiest doorbell I've installed, but it required more power than some other brands. It also takes forever to get a customer service on line. Good for people who wants an easy installation and have a new, stable power supply
