We were away for a few weeks and it was excellent for monitoring activity from numerous rooms in the house and property. Very wast to set up.

I was SO tired of having to recharge the battery once a month, and hard wiring is the way to go. Make sure to get the wired version to avoid that headache.

Biggest two items, one both the daytime and nighttime video is exceptional quality and two is the amount of customizable settings to make it work and notify you how you see fit.

The version 2 is already out, for an extra of $80. So far a couple of days after the installation. This is the reason that I put 4 stars because to install it in an existing doorbell (even a video doorbell) is difficult. With the hardware provided was difficult to install it. You need longs M10 screws to attach the ring base or made a complete new installation that is not going to be 15 min. Other than that the features that the video doorbell provides is good ... probably very good. I was able to connect even with my refrigerator (not with google hubs). On the Control Center you have a lot of settings to play with and they going to help you. You need to mastered the setting then it going to work perfect for your home safety. Need more partnership connections. Ultra recommended!

This has been a very good investment. Super easy to install. We had a doorbell from early 1980's, simple simple to uninstall it and replace.

The picture quality during the day and night are very good. It is helpful to see who is at your door and when packages are being delivered. It was a bit of a pain getting it set up once connected but the Ring customer service (once I got through long wait) was extremely helpful.

Love that when someone comes into view, it notifies them that they are being recorded.

The Ring Protect Plan provides valuable capabilities, such as accessing paid features and the ability to save, download, and review footage captured by your Ring device. We can definitely provide you with more information regarding the concern mentioned in your review.
With a Ring Protect Plan, you can save, review, and share video recordings from your Ring devices to your Ring account. Without a Ring Protect Plan, you can still view real-time video for Ring doorbells and cameras and answer doorbell notifications when they happen, but you don’t get video recordings of those events.
It is very important for your Ring WIred Doorbell Plus to be connected to high speed internet and have good signal strength for optimal performance. If you are experiencing issues with two-way talk, we recommend checking your device's signal strength by following these steps:
Open the Ring app.
Tap the menu (☰).
Tap “Devices.”
Select the ring device you would like to test.
Tap on the “Device Health” tile.
Scroll to “Signal Strength” under the “Network” section.
The green, amber, and red colors are indicators of your device connection. Green is good; red is poor.
Move your wifi router off the floor.
Walls, floors, and furniture can interfere with or weaken your router's wireless signal. Choose an elevated, central, open location for your wifi router.
Check your mobile device's signal. If your mobile device has one or two bars, this could be causing issues accessing your Ring device. For best results, make sure you're connected to wifi from wherever you are.
