The Ring Pro fit my doorjamb better since it's slimmer. The Pro also worked with my existing chime. It's nice knowing when someone comes to the door. This is a definite improvement.

It was easy to set up and worked without a problem. Their customer service was great in helping me with my questions before I purchased it. Great picture and have not had any issues with it thus far.

If your device is unresponsive, try pressing and holding the reset button for 20 seconds. Follow the steps in the Ring app to reconnect the doorbell to your network. To reconnect a Ring Wired Doorbell Plus to your wifi network: Open the Ring app. Tap the menu (≡). Tap "Devices" and select the doorbell you'd like to reconnect to wifi. Tap the "Device Health" tile. Under "Network," tap "Change Network" and follow the prompts in the app. Allow some time for your device to fully reconnect to the network, then check your wifi signal strength in "Device Health" to confirm it has successfully reconnected.

Frustation with product

After multiple attempts and dealing with Ring technical support, and trying all of the troubleshooting techniques, still unable to reconnect. I was sent a replacement. The replacement was a refurbished device. I was able to connect the new device without issue. After several weeks this device went offline. Again, as with the first device, multiple attempts to reconnect and trying all of the troubleshooting suggestions, this second device would not reconnect. This time the device which is hard wired, will repeatedly makes an audible statement, Welcome to Ring, the device did not connect(abbreviated version of statement made by device. The quality of the video and audio when the device was working was good. The problem is it is not working.

It sounds like the Ring Wired Doorbell Plus is not performing as expected. The Ring Wired Doorbell Plus requires a doorbell transformer rated at 16-24 VAC 50/60HZ, 10-40VA max. Some symptoms of insufficient power include not correctly ringing your existing internal doorbell, regularly losing connection to your wifi network, freezing up or shutting down during the ringtone sound after a button press, regularly shutting off (the white light on the front will turn off), freezing up during a live event, night vision doesn't work, or the doorbell working fine for a couple of events and then stopping working.
Below are some things to check to ensure your device is installed and powered properly:
1. Check if your doorbell is wired correctly and ensure the Ring Pro Power Kit has been connected to your in-home chime kit.
2. Configure your Ring Wired Doorbell Plus to ring with an in-home chime within the Ring app.
3. Check whether your existing internal chime kit is compatible with Ring Wired Doorbell Plus.

And because I'm have full tech support, I didn't pay extra for installment. The agent even took time to show me how to use the gadget.

I found that reading the on line instructions along with the provided instructions made it clearer. Part of the problem was watching an expert on you tube putting the back plate on wrong.
