Works well, but had to exchange for cracked button. Hopefully this is not a recurring problem, have seen others w/ this issue on web. Ring replaced fast(2 days). Had to send pic and they sent replacement w/ return slip for broken unit. All and all I would say it works well and you don’t need a subscription.

Also be careful when used Best Buy rewards as they spread it across all purchases. In this case, I wanted the extra wedge for street view, returned it since it did not fit and now I am out the reward points
