Sometimes it picks up people walking down the street and sometimes it doesn't register someone on the front porch. The doorbell doesn't always ring when someone pushes the doorbell

No one at door just going off by itself. Delay action for doorbell to go off. Speak through is very fuzzy and hard to understand. Otherwise nice to have

Having a solid connection ensures you do not miss any activity around your home. We are here to provide you with some information to resolve the issue you mentioned in your review.
It sounds like the device is not performing as intended. Phantom rings are usually the result of faulty wiring or a device that is failing. To resolve this issue, we recommend inspecting the wire terminals on your Doorbell and chime kit to verify that they are securely fastened. Also, please inspect the button on the Doorbell for any excessive wear. These can contribute to what is known as “ghost dings”.
A poor wifi signal can cause connectivity and audio quality with your Ring device to be unreliable. Check the Device Health section of your Ring application to ensure the device’s RSSI is within an acceptable range. The recommended range for optimal performance is 0 to -60 for the RSSI.
If your networking equipment hasn’t been power-cycled in a while, try unplugging it for 30 seconds and plugging it back in. Wireless networks utilize different channels for communication. In the United States, the 2.4 GHz band uses channels 1-11 and the 5 GHz band uses channels 36-165. In some cases, setting up your Ring device(s) can fail due to wireless interference or congestion.

Overall the Ring devices seemed like the best designed, and the cost to have Ring monitor your devices is very reasonable. I used a wedge. I had to buy a couple of screws with better threads to secure the doorbell to the wedge. The ones supplied didn't do the trick.
