After having several friends having Ring Video Door bell along with several other Ring Alarm devices installed and being VERY satisfied with the service. Had to replace the voltage adapter as we had to by passed the regular voltage to the old door bell and the old unit was bad also. Every thing is working fine now just like before. Had to have the Geek Squad to trouble shoot and fix.

Can't answer the door with phone

I have never been able to get the doorbell to be answered by my iPhone like my Arlo did. RING customer service couldn't solve the issue. Blamed it on my phone but I had no issues with my Arlo doorbell. Waste of money. The pros: Easy set-up with app Except for the phone part. The cons: Customer support is negligent. Pretty much leave issues to be solved by the community. I am fed up with these tech companies leaving it to the customer community to solve problems. Why aren't we on the payroll? Think about it... some brown nosing bean counter seeking a promotion came up with the genius idea in a system improvement meeting. We got your money now go figure it out on your own.

It sounds like you enjoy the Ring Wired Doorbell Plus, but you are having some trouble receiving and answering notifications from the device. The first thing you will want to check is that your mobile device has push notifications enabled for the Ring app. If you are receiving push notifications but you are having trouble answering or connecting to live video when you are not on wifi, you may have data disabled for the Ring app.
If you've enabled push notifications and data for the Ring app but are still having trouble, you may need to check your wifi speeds. "Internet speed" in the context of your Ring devices is the measure of how fast your wireless network uploads and downloads data. If either or both of those functions are too slow, your Ring app won't be able to process data from your Ring devices fast enough. That's why it's important to test your internet speed in the area around your Ring device. Visit our support center for more information on checking your wifi speeds.

We are happy to share the steps here for how to connect your Ring Wired Doorbell Plus to your existing in-home chime:
Remove the cover to your in-home doorbell chime kit.
Verify your transformer has an output of at least 16V 30VA (40VA max) and 50/60 Hz.
If it doesn't, you can get a replacement transformer and follow these steps to install it.
Alternatively, you can get a plug-in adapter to power your doorbell with an outlet.
Note: Do not use a halogen or garden-lighting transformer or a DC transformer/power supply.
Install your Pro Power Kit or Pro Power Cable.
Follow the mounting instructions inthe product manual to continue mounting the device.
