All our devices do come with a limited one-year warranty, in which Ring will repair or replace any Ring products that malfunction due to defective parts or workmanship, at no charge to you. There is also an extended warranty available through our Ring Protect Plus Plan option.

For extended warranty coverage to apply to your Ring device, the device must be within its original warranty period when you subscribe to Ring Protect Plus. Once the original warranty expires, the device will be covered under Ring protect Plus until you discontinue your subscription.

It is important to ensure that you have the proper motion settings in place for your environment. This camera uses adjustable motion detection and runs on passive infrared sensors. The system identifies visitors via a moving heat signature and sends a notification to your smart device when one is detected. You can adjust three preset motion zones and their distances under the "Motion Settings" tab on the device's page in the Ring app. Additionally, you can choose how often the camera checks for movement in those predefined zones via the "Motion Frequency" setting. If you find that your camera is missing some motions, please set the motion frequency to "Frequently."

We completely understand the relevance of having your device up and running, as this ensures you can be informed of activity at your home anytime day or night.

This article focuses on resolving power issues caused by incorrect wiring, which may have occurred during the installation of your hardwired Video Doorbell Pro: https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/4407681842324-Troubleshooting-Wiring-and-Power-Issues-for-Ring-Video-Doorbell-Pro. Insufficient Power Symptoms included:

Frequent shutdowns.
Regularly loses connection to your wifi network.
Has poor motion detection.
Freezes during live events.
Night vision doesn’t work.
Not ringing your existing internal doorbell correctly.

We appreciate your dedication in trying to resolve the matter! Occasionally, your Ring Video Doorbell Pro may need a hard reset. To complete the reset, please hold the setup button (located under the faceplate on the right side) down for 15 consecutive seconds and then release. The doorbell will take about one minute to complete the reset. Please allow a couple of minutes and then attempt a brand-new set-up within the Ring app. Once the new setup is complete, please test the doorbell for improvement.

The standard maximum detection range for Ring devices is 30 feet, but larger objects in the distance, such as vehicles, can still cause a motion alert. If you receive too many motion alerts from your Ring device, you can adjust your Motion Zones to exclude these areas.
