Ring gives you 30 days??? to subscribe or you only get the live doorbell. Half the time, the person is already in the house by the time my ring message pops up. Even worse, the 30 day went buy. I log into the app? How the hell do you buy the subscription? Ring sucks! I am going back to Nest.

While subscribed to one of our Protect Plans, it allows you to access videos of every ring, motion and live view event. Without this service, you will still receive real-time video alerts on your smartphone as well as have access to the live view feature.

I live on a busy highway. So coverage is important. The clarity and continous coverage makes this so much better than the rechargeable one.

After a few years the video becomes cloudy as camera covering becomes opaque and the plastic becomes brittle. This is a poor design as the plastic can not be easily replaced. I'm looking for a different doorbell now as I don't wand to run into this situation again.

After a month of use, I realized the orange popup telling you your videos are not being recorded was not going away. I do not want to subscribe to a paid plan, and apparently you have to live with the popup until you subscribe. It is annoying. I would have bought a different product if I thought I had to buy a monthly subscription plan to avoid annoying forever popups.

If the app is suggesting you sign up for one of our optional Ring Protect Plans, you can tap the banner and be directed to our pages to learn more about the plans. It's important to note that a Ring Protect Plan is not required to use the standard features on your doorbell.

Love the motion detection, the ability to use the doorbell as an intercom and etc... Day 2 the WIFI stop working. Call Ring Support and spent over 2 hours with them with trying to get Ring Doorbell reconnected to wifi which was a no go. Since they could not solve my problem with software, then they had me take take picture of how the Ring doorbell was wired up which I might add was done by a electrician. Despite having the Ring doorbell installed by electrician, Ring refused to send a replacement Ring Doorbell. Very disappointment in my purchase and would not recommend anyone to by a Ring doorbell or any of their products since they refuse to stand behind their products when there is technical issues.

If your Doorbell Pro is disconnected from wifi and you're unable to get it reconnected, it could be due to the signal strength. You may need to move the router closer to your Doorbell, or try using a wifi extender at a halfway point between the two. You can learn more about wifi here https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/217271526-Checking-Wifi-Signal-Strength. It's also important to make sure the Doorbell is receiving adequate power. Cannot connect to RING-#####a network.

After that, the phone would never see the Ring-####a network. Next day, I spent about 2 hours on phone with RING support, and that was after several wasted hours reviewing docs and reinstalling, again and again. NO GO. Taking back to BB. That's what the support guy said to do. I wanted it to work. After doing some research, I see Ring has LOTS of identical complaints. For the price of 170 $, I expect something to work and to last more than 12 hours. THUMBS DOWN on Ring.

Captures car pulling in the driveway but not the person getting off/on. Takes so long to watch live, rendering the feature unusable. Says it's a person but it's a car and vice versa. We had google doorbell at our old house, we are going back to it.

It sounds like the device is not performing as expected in regards to motion detection. It is important to ensure that you have the proper motion settings in place for your environment. This includes increasing the "Motion Sensitivity" and setting "Motion Frequency" to "Frequently" in the Ring app. To optimize your motion zones and ensure that the device will detect accurately, please follow these steps:
Open the Ring app.
Tap the menu (≡) on the top left.
Tap Devices.
Tap the relevant device.
Tap Motion Settings.
At the top, tap Edit Zones or scroll down to tap Camera Motion Zones.
To adjust an existing Motion Zone: tap the Zone you want to adjust, then drag the points of the Zone to do so. Tap Save.
To add a new Motion Zone: tap Add Zone and drag the points of the Zone. Tap Save.
Accuracy in motion detection can also be improved by enabling Smart Alerts for people only in your Ring app.
To enable Smart Alerts:
Tap the menu (≡) on the top left.
Tap Devices.
Tap the device that you want to adjust.
