    My Pro is about 2.5yrs old and the picture/video quality is getting poor because the lens is fading. Its been Great until I noticed the quality diminishing this happening. Its in a covered front porch facing east so it gets very little morning sun. The motion sensor portion is plastic and its peeling giving a spotty motion sense. Im having the same issue with my spotlight cam at the driveway. Im torn on recommending them again as I cant seem to get anyone at ring to see if ay of this is covered by my ring warranty coverage.

    Cracked Button is real so beware

    When it works its great. But the poor quality of the button (cracked) it renders the door bell useless. The cheapest part of the doorbell is the cause for forced obsolescence, so you have to buy a new one versus being able to replace the button. So I now have to spend 200 dollars to replace a button that clearly this is a product issue where the button should last more than 18 months to two years. everyone had a doorbell that worked for years and the button worked for years before RING came out with this great innovation but poor quality

      Your Ring Video Doorbell Pro uses the camera mounted on the front to get a very wide view of the world. Your Ring Pro also uses the image it gathers through the camera to detect motion.     Don't Bother

    We upgraded our wired Ring that wouldn't work to this one, hoping we'd have better luck. We liked this look because it was sleeker. It was working great for about 4 hours, then completely quit working and disconnected. We tried hard resetting about 6-8 times, and it would never re-enter set up mode to get it reconnected. I contacted Ring support who ran me through all of the troubleshooting I'd already done 10 times over, and they told me to "contact an electrician" or return it to the store because it was likely the incorrect voltage. Voltage was fine - it was just an issue with the doorbell. I ended up upgrading to the original (bulkier with battery) Ring battery doorbell plus which has had no issues- definitely pricier but worth it for it to work.

    BUYER BEWARE! Customer Service hung up on me!

    All of ring devices have to be activated with an Amazon account. Amazon will later ask you to change your password. You will then no longer be able to use your ring devices until you reinstall them. I am being force d to change my Amazon password. These are the ring devices that I will have to remove and reinstall: 1, Ring 5 pc security system 2. Thirteen window and door sensors 3.Ring Doorbell Pro 4.Five security cameras 5.Three Ring chimes 6.Three ring keypads ADDITIONALLY I have to Reactivate: 1.Amazon Eero Wifi System 2.Four Echo Devices 3.Five TV’s with Amazon Prime 4.Alexa Customer Service is no longer answering calls from my phone number.

    Keeps going offline!

    It has not worked correctly since I purchased it a few months ago. It keeps going off of the Wi-Fi connection so I just purchased Ring Chime Pro to extend the Wi-Fi & hopefully that will help. Also, when it goes offline my wired doorbell does not work at all!

    Good product...rings my mechanical doorbell. Only downside is sometimes the delay on motion when doorbell is not rung is minutes later...cant understand why.

    This product is horrible. Falied after 1 year. Tried to Trouble shoot it several times. Customer service is just as bad. Stand behind your product Ring. Don’t buy it.

      Video Doorbell Pro requires a minimum of 16 volts AC to power the device. If your device is not receiving enough power, you may see issues like this happen:

      Regularly losing connection to your Wi-Fi network
      Regularly shutting off (the white light on the front will turn off)
      Freezing up during a live event
      Not ringing your existing internal doorbell correctly
      Night vision doesn't work
      The device works fine for a couple of events and then stops working

    Save your money!!

    We thought this would be the best thing to have when our son started riding the bus home from school. Had it almost a year when it crapped out on us. It will not stay connected to internet which makes it totally useless. We will never buy another Ring product!

      If you are experiencing delays when connecting to video or receiving notifications, it is important to remember that the internet speed coming to your house is not the same as the wireless connection around your house and that many factors can cause issues with wireless performance. These can be things such as obstacles in the way of the signal (big metal objects, big thick walls, double glazing, fridges, microwaves and other devices), the position of your wireless router, or interference from neighboring networks called ‘channel interference’.     It died after 5 days

    It worked fine for 5 days and then it suddenly died. The troubleshoot indicated that there was no power. But I called an electrician and he demonstrated that everything was fine with the power source. I am returning it for an exchange, lets hope it was just that one defective unit.
