Good, but could be better

Its has good image quality and connects easily to the wifi. The only problem we have, we are unable to retain our original doorbell ring while utilizing this product. After some researching online, it seems to be a common issue with this product with little to no resolution. We have to connect it to our Alexa speakers to be notified of any doorbell audio. Kind of annoying.

It provides peace of mind and allows us to see who is at our door when we are away. I also believe it to be a deterrent as well. we also installed the Ring outdoor motion sensor camera Pro 2 as well in my rear yard and this single device lights up most of my entire yard and is DEFINATELY a deterrent. Extremely impressed with Ring products and more with their customer support.

Just what I wanted, constant video, armed or not!

We get real time notifications without the Ring alarm system activated. Video is sent to our iPhones and the image is recorded. In my opinion, it seems superior the Arlo video too.

Great upgrade

My old camera ended up showing pink in the camera and further research said it probably got burnt out with the sun and the heat. This was the perfect camera upgrade and the view is tremendous.

Little value in improvements

I have a wired Ringcam from a few years ago that was damaged by a careless worker. This unit has no tangible improvements that matter. It records fewer cars, even though i liked Ring recording cars in my quiet street, and its befuddled by sprinkler, which the old doorbell ignored. The old doorbell had power and battery, while this is smaller - but only powered. Finally, the view is too wide so lots of video is wasted recording brick walls and bushes. This works just fine and looks bettee, but if size doesnt matter save the money and go one gen back.

We would love the opportunity to share with you some troubleshooting steps that you can try to get your Ring Wired Doorbell Pro functioning as intended. It is important to ensure that you have the proper motion settings in place for your environment. This camera uses adjustable motion detection and runs on passive infrared sensors. The system identifies visitors via a moving heat signature and sends a notification to your smart device when one is detected. You can adjust three preset motion zones and their distances under the "Motion Settings" tab on the device's page in the Ring app. Motion Zones can help you better detect motion in the areas that matter the most to you and reduce the number of unwanted motion alerts. Additionally, you can choose how often the camera checks for movement in those predefined zones via the "Motion Frequency" setting. If you find that your camera is missing some motions, please set the motion frequency to "Frequently."
