Coupling this product with an echo show 8 means they no longer have to attempt the veey long walk from anynof the patios or the den or family room to answer the door. Wiring was a bit cumbersome but once hooked up this product performs very well and the video quality and sound are quite good. Only complaint is that this shoukd cone eith the angled piece necessary for side mounting if its needed. Other color plates also should be an option without having to buy additional colors.

I previously chose the Belkin doorbell for roughly the same price since it works with Apple HomeKit. As my house being newly constructed, I thought it should work. It did not. I returned it and got the Ring. Having using ring at my previous home, it work as it should but still wanted to use Apple HomeKit without having to use third party adapters and such. I purchase the Logitech doorbell and that works perfectly. I returned the Ring as I don’t like the intrusion of Amazon all too much.
