Unless your existing door bell transformer has the required voltage to run the Ring Pro (more than likely not)you’ll need to buy the Ring transformer to replace the old one and more than likely have a qualified electrician install it. I just wish the Best Buy in store sales person would have advised us of the incompatibility. Also the Ring support team was of no help. My electrician figured it out with help from the mobil app although the app was inconsistent.

Of the options available, I was able to choose a color that more closely matched our house color. That makes it a little less obvious when approaching the house. Now, if they would improve the user interface of the app and make it a little more intuitive, I'd be ecstatic!

The issue we have is the doorbell transformer and an older house was not adequate. However, we were unable to find the transformer in our house to install a replacement. Due to this we had to return the doorbell camera.
