Ring problem.

Can't live without it now that I have it

This is my first video doorbell and I LOVE it. How did I ever live without one of these????

The last one quit after about 4 years. I initially consider Ring doorbells that required battery charging but that was inconvenient. This one works as expected.

I sold my home and left it there. This new Pro 2 is amazing!! I highly reccomend this model. I used my "Totaltech"membership for the insatlation. The installer was excellent.

Hardwiring it to my old doorbell was easy. If you are not an electrician like me, shut off the power to the entire house. It takes only 2 minutes to reconnect.

This is my second one, purchased for a new house. Wouldn’t go with any other one and the feature of hardwire is so worth not having the worry about charging it. Especially when out of town!

Fits beautifully in the frame of my front door. That is all thanks to Frank from the geek squad noticing I purchased one that would not function or fit correctly! This was my “Best Buy “ for my new home.

The installation was OK. When the installation was “completed“, my regular doorbell did not chime. The installer guessed that it was a transformer problem with my old doorbell and said I might want to check it. He also said that I didn’t need the old style doorbell to “dingdong” because I now have the ring doorbell, which makes a sound on my phone. Really? That’s a very poor answer. I had to hire my handyman to figure out how to get the old doorbell to work with the new ring doorbell.

Being able to rely on the alerts to know when you have visitors is an essential feature of the Ring Wired Doorbell Pro. We can definitely provide you with more information regarding the concern mentioned in your review.
It sounds like there is some confusion regarding your device triggering your home's existing chime kit. Your Ring video doorbell is compatible with doorbell systems supplying 16–24 volts VAC at 50 or 60 Hz, 40 VA max. The Pro Power Kit must be installed on your existing chime kit. It ensures that your Ring video doorbell gets the power it needs and must be installed before you install your video doorbell.
Once your device is properly installed and set up, you can manually adjust your home's existing internal doorbell chime on and off from the Ring app. Follow these steps to ensure you have your internal chime kit enabled:
Open the Ring app.
Tap the menu (☰), then tap Devices.
Tap on your Ring Wired Doorbell Pro.
Tap Device Settings.
Select In-Home Chime Settings.
Tap the toggle to turn on or turn off your in-home doorbell chime.
If the toggle is blue, the feature is turned on.
If the toggle is white, the feature is turned off.
Tap Save in the upper right to save your changes.
