Being able to rely on notifications from your Ring Video Doorbell Pro is an essential feature of the device. We can definitely provide you with more information regarding the concern mentioned in your review.

It sounds like the Ring Wired Doorbell Pro is not performing as intended with regard to ringing your internal chime kit. The Ring Wired Doorbell Pro requires 16-24 VAC, 50/60Hz, 30-40 VA max. A symptom of insufficient power includes not correctly ringing your existing internal doorbell. We recommend upgrading your transformer with at least 16 VAC and at least 30-40 VA max and 50/60Hz. Do not use a halogen or garden-lighting transformer or a DC transformer/power supply. You can also resolve your power problem by installing a Ring Plug-In Adapter.

You can also check out our Ring Chime. The Ring Chime allows you to hear notifications anywhere in your home when someone presses your doorbell or motion is detected.

An important factor in the Ring device’s battery life is whether it is wired to another source of power, such as an existing powered doorbell chime. In many parts of the world, winter brings cold, rain, sleet, snow, and sometimes extremely frigid temperatures. As a result, Ring doorbells or security cameras may have their performance affected by the cold. Ring’s premium Wired Doorbell Pro allows you to check in on your front door anytime, from anywhere, and see or speak to visitors at your door in real-time using the Ring app or an Alexa-enabled device. The "3D Motion Detection" feature uses radar technology to precisely identify where and when a motion event begins. The radar sensor measures the distance and angle of objects in front of the camera, allowing for more specific motion detection alerts.

The Ring app puts you in control of your home’s security from your smartphone, tablet, or computer. Now that you've downloaded the app, get familiar with the command center for all your Ring products.The Dashboard is the first screen you'll see when you open the Ring app. It has three main sections:

The tiles at the top of the screen which can be moved around and organized using the edit tile.
Images from your security cameras or doorbells, which you can tap to quickly get to "Live View."

It sounds like the device is not performing as intended. Wired Doorbell Pro is Ring's premium doorbell with advanced features, including 3D Motion Detection, enhanced Head-to-Toe HD+ Video, Audio+, Bird's Eye View, and Alexa Greetings (for Ring Protect subscribers).

Ring devices require high speed internet to bring you crisp, clear video and audio. Poor network connectivity can effect the performance of your Ring device. Diagnose and fix common video issues you may experience with Ring doorbells and cameras.

Here are some examples of video quality issues:

Overexposed, washed out videos: Washed out videos may be due to overexposure to sunlight.
Poor wifi signal strength: A decline in wifi signal strength may be caused by a weak connection between the router and your Ring device.
Traveling signal strength: This may be due to a wifi dead zone in your home where you loose signal strength between the router and your Ring device.

Ring devices with 1080p video require at least 1 Mbps upload and download speeds, though 2 Mbps is recommended for optimal performance. In edition to ensuring that you have sufficient wifi speeds, you will also want to check the signal strength of your device. A poor wifi signal can cause connectivity with your Ring device to be unreliable.

Check the Device Health section of your Ring application to ensure the device’s RSSI is within an acceptable range. The recommended range for optimal performance is 0 to -60 for the RSSI.

Turn off your mobile device's cellular data and connect to the same wifi network as your Ring device.
Open the Ring app.
Tap the menu (☰).
Tap Devices.
Select your device.
Trigger an event on your Ring device. This could mean pressing the button on a doorbell or activating the motion sensors on a camera.
Answer the event and examine the resulting video.

We have listed some possible outcomes from this test here:

Footage is crisp and clear: If your video appears good when next to the router, the issue may be caused by a disruption in between your router and your Ring device’s normal location. To fix this, try moving your device closer to the router or extend your wifi signal with a wifi extender like the Ring Chime Pro.
Footage is heavily pixelated: If you’re seeing heavy pixilation, even next to the router, this may be due to slow wifi speeds.
Severe pauses in Live Video: If your video pauses, stutters, or gets frozen and your wifi speed meets the minimum standards, try rebooting your router. Unplug your router, wait 30 seconds, and then plug it back in. It should take three to four minutes to reboot. Then, test your Ring device again and see if there's any difference.
Long delay before your video starts: This is also caused by slow wifi speeds. Assuming you have high speed internet, reboot your router and the mobile phone, tablet, or PC you're accessing the video feed on, Then see if there's any difference when it's back on line.

While there are no video settings that allow you to change exposure from sunlight, there are other ways you can fix overexposed, washed out videos. Using a wedge kit or corner kit can to change the angle of the doorbell. There are many different corner kits and wedge kits, so make sure you get one that is compatible with your particular model of doorbell.

After reading your review it seems that your Ring Pro is going offline. After reading your review, it seems that your Ring Pro is losing its wifi connection randomly. If this is the case, we recommend power cycling the device. To power cycle, turn off power to the device for 30 seconds and then turn the power back in. Once this is done, your device should reboot and work as intended. The Wired Doorbell Pro features a 160 degree horizontal and 90 degree vertical field of view. If you're installing a Video Doorbell on a house with aluminum siding or on a house where the door is at the top of a set of stairs, you can use a Wedge or Corner Kit to properly position the device. This will help catch visitor motion, but minimize "false positive" motion alerts, such as cars on the street. It sounds like your device has stopped working as intended. The Ring Wired Doorbell Pro requires a doorbell transformer rated at 16–24 VAC, 50/60 HZ, and 30–40 VA max. If your doorbell was working previously and then stopped, it could be due to insufficient power.

The most common fix for power issues is to bypass your doorbell with a Pro Power Kit V2. If you do not have a Pro Power Kit V2, contact our Customer Support Team or get additional help bypassing your internal doorbell with the Pro Power Kit V2.

If the bypass method doesn't solve your power problems or you don't want to bypass your doorbell mechanism, consider upgrading your transformer. When purchasing and installing a new transformer, we recommend choosing one with at least 16 volts AC, at least 30 volt-amps (40 VA max), and 50/60 Hz. Do not use a halogen or garden-lighting transformer or a DC transformer/power supply.
