    Review of Ring doorbell 2 pro. it will take a while to install. you need to wire the bell, and replace the doorbell. On old bell units you might need help from RING.. can get done, but will take a while. Also took a long time ( and 2 shipments from Best Buy to get doorbell-.. Poor service.

Having a solid connection ensures you do not miss any activity around your home. We are here to provide you with some information to resolve the connection issue you mentioned in your review.

      It sounds like the device is not operating as intended. Ring devices require high-speed internet to bring you crisp, clear video and audio. Poor network connectivity can affect the performance of your Ring device. Identify and troubleshoot what is causing connectivity issues for Ring devices to give you the best possible video and audio experience.

      To determine whether or not the problem is caused by poor upload speed, run a speed test to determine if your network can support Ring devices. Ring devices with 1080p video require at least 1 Mbps upload and download speeds, though 2 Mbps is recommended for optimal performance. In addition to ensuring that you have sufficient wifi speeds, you will also want to check the signal strength of your device. A poor wifi signal can cause connectivity with your Ring device to be unreliable. Check the Device Health section of your Ring application to ensure the device’s RSSI is within an acceptable range. The recommended range for optimal performance is 0 to -60 for the RSSI.

    Ring communication doesn’t work both ways. Following the tips provided still could not get it to work with person at the door. The video isn’t available unless you purchase the basic plan. If you don’t buy it, you only have access to live view only.

      Hi there, I understand it can be discouraging when something doesn't work as expected. Make sure that the Ring app has permission to use the microphone on your phone. You can do this by looking in your phone's settings app, and locating the Ring app. After checking that, activate the Live View in the Ring app and tap on the microphone icon to enable the two-way audio. If that still doesn't do the trick, you can search the Ring Community at https://community.ring.com/ to find solutions that worked for other neighbors. All the best, Ashley from Ring. Ring

    Working w/ ICE = Canceling my yearly subscription

    I've used Ring doorbell for at least 10 years, but after hearing that they are now allowing ICE to access videos I'M DONE. There are plenty of other security companies that I can give my money to, that actually have compassion morals & a soul... F - ICE

In pursuit of our mission to make neighborhoods safer, when applying technologies to our business, we always consider our three pillars of customer security, privacy, and user control.

      It sounds like you have concerns with Community Requests. Community Requests is a privacy-protected service that enables public safety agencies to put out public requests for help and efficiently and securely collect and manage digital evidence. Public safety agencies can post a request in the Neighbors feed asking community members within a specific area to share Ring video footage or information that may help their investigation. Videos customers choose to share in response to Community Requests go directly to Axon Evidence, a secure evidence management system where they can be verified for authenticity and integrity. This also creates a complete audit trail of how and when public safety agencies collect information. Participation is always voluntary, and public safety agencies can only see what you choose to share. Your Ring camera footage is not automatically shared with law enforcement. If you have set your Ring location within the geofence of the Community Request, then you will see a post in your Neighbors feed, which you can choose to respond to if you have relevant videos to share. Only videos that you explicitly select to share are sent to the requesting agency. Users can disable Community Requests in their app settings. Within your Neighbors Feed settings. Navigate to the Neighbors Feed → Feed Settings → Opt out of the Community Requests Post Category.

    Bummer cuz if I received it and it was cracked right across the camera unfortunately I didn't find out until after I was able to exchange it and so there's nothing they can do supposedly

    It's ok. My old ring the video at night was brighter. This one it's way too dark and I can hardly see the street. Needs improvement on the night vision for this model.

    This is the second one I have owned I have had it a month and it will not connect to the internet. Service is coming out tomorrow to find out why. First one I never had an issue with.

The features and technology provided by the Ring Wired Doorbell Pro are incredibly valuable and help provide you with peace of mind about your home security. We would love the opportunity to work with you and ensure your device is functioning as intended.

      It sounds like you are having some difficulty getting your device connected to your home's wifi network. The Ring Wired Doorbell Pro is compatible with b/g/n/ac wifi networks operating on 2.4 GHz or 5.0 GHz frequencies. If you were able to setup other devices with no issue, it may be helpful to reboot your modem or router. For optimal performance, we suggest rebooting once a month. Follow these steps to reboot your modem and/or router:

      Unplug your router and/or modem from its power supply.
      If your router and modem are separate devices, unplug both of them.
      Wait at least 30 seconds, then plug back in.
      Wait 30 seconds to one minute for your router and/or modem to boot up.
      Confirm that your internet is back on by connecting another device to your wifi network and trying to access a website. Then repeat the setup process.

    I do like the ring , but I would like the picture to be clearer and the night vision isn't good quality. Also, It didn't come with the correct mounting bracket. It came with a side angle bracket as if I was mounting it in a corner.

Rest assured, we are still here to help you resolve your Floodlight Camera’s night vision concerns and ensure you have a security device you can rely on.
      Certain models of Ring devices have a night vision feature that allows you to see through the camera in low light conditions. By using infrared light, the camera can create a black and white image that is then beamed to the Live View in your app. By turning the color night vision feature on, the camera will use whatever ambient light is available to try and create a “false color” image in your Live View. This lets you get a better sense of what’s happening in the image by creating a false sense of color depth.
