Great Doorbell Cam

It has more features than the older ring cam we had. It was easy to install and shows more than the other one did. We love the added piece of mind for package delivery, security and great surveillance it provides.

Quick and easy to use

I hired an electrician to install as I didn’t know I’d the transformer needed to be replaced. Turns out I did not need it replaced and they installed it in under 10 minutes. Activating both the doorbell and chime was super easy. Be sure to look at all the materials for the QR code for easy sign up. Once activated I received an email for a free 2nd switch plate too!

Better audio from speakers compared to the first

The video quality is a slight improvement, and the audo from the speakers sound much better. I would only upgrade from the first Doorbell Pro if the sound quality and video quality bother you. It drove me crazy, so i bought the new doorbell pro.

Ring Door Bell Pro 2

We had it and several other Ring cameras, lights, bulbs, garage, etc. installed since I have the Best Buy Total Protection or whatever they call it these days. Wished the bulb we got from Ring that is right above Ring Door Bell would be smart enough to detect movement and turn out but I guess it doesn't.

I see who is at my door and decide if I want to answer it. When packages are delivered I know and can get them off the front porch right away. I also like the fact I can talk to the person on my porch if need be.

My only minor complain is that the mechanical chime sometime won't ring after some time of first press. Also not sure what's the use of 3d motion detection.

It works well for that purpose. My only objection is that we purchased a wired Ring bell under the belief that it would use the wiring from the house to ring the in-house chime. Not so! In order to hear the doorbell in the rest of the house, we needed to buy a plug-in chime and install it somewhere else in the house. In my opinion, this should be an unneeded expense. Ring could certainly improve on that score. Otherwise, we do enjoy having the video, knowing who is at the door, being able to re-wind and see previous alerts, the ability to change the alert chimes, etc.

The features and technology provided by the Ring Wired Doorbell Pro are incredibly valuable and help provide you with peace of mind about your home security. We would like to provide you with solutions to the concerns you are experiencing today!
To enable your in-home chime, please follow these steps in the Ring app:
Open the Ring app to the main dashboard.
Tap more (•••) on the camera you want to access.
Tap your device's Settings.
Tap the Device Settings tile.
Tap In-home Chime Settings.
Select your Chime Type (Mechanical, Digital, or None)
Tap the toggle to turn on or turn off your in-home doorbell chime.
Tap Save in the upper right to save your changes.
If the app is unable to detect an in-home chime, follow the steps below to manually configure.
Tap Advanced Settings.
Select your Chime Type (Mechanical, Digital Type 1, or Digital Type 2).
Tap Continue.
Tap Ring my in-home chime.
Follow the prompts in the app to complete the test.
Using incompatible power sources can damage your device and cause electric shock. To identify which type or doorbell chime you have, listen to the sound it makes.
A mechanical chime uses a physical bell and a mechanical hammer and makes a traditional ding-dong sound. A digital chime plays pre-recorded digital tones through an electronic speaker and often has a selection of different tones you can choose from. If you're unsure what type of doorbell chime you have, remove the front of your chime box and look inside for a bell and hammer or an electronic speaker.
