Picture quality is execllent. Seems to be built well, but will see of this model holds up better than previous Rong camera we had.

So I have nothing to compare it to except what I've read on other people's post. You have to read the instructions and use the parts they include. The first time an electrician tried to install my ring doorbell he couldn't do it, it wouldn't work. 4 years later I buy the ring doorbell pro 2. The installer Best Buy sent out did not impress me. Alex, who Best Buy sent out to install my speakers for my surround sound looked at it and found the problem and fixed it. He read the instructions and found a particular part in the box that had to be installed for it to work right. It's been 5 days since it has been installed properly and I am impressed with it. I was an easy 15 ft away and had my audiobook going. The doorbell was even picking that up. Lol Yes I'm going to end up paying the $30 a month for a cloud. I think it'll be worth it.

An added benefit is that my cat knows to come to that door to be let in! I get an alert and know he’s there. The picture is very clear. We are close to the sidewalk and street and I was worried it would go off all the time which doesn’t happen. My husband was able to adjust it. That is why we bought the model we did!

I later bought it's battery powered brother for my backdoor that had no power connection. I later added an A/C powered transformer to the back door video doorbell pro. It now uses the battery as a back up power source. If I was buying again, I would buy two of the battery powered RING doorbells, and not the wired doorbell I am currently reviewing. The Wired Doorbell Pro doesn't have the long battery backup required in an extended power outage. Still a good product...

Even after having the extra stuff installed from Ring the indoor bell transformer says low... makes no sense... but works with ring app and alexa in the house just fine

It can loudly announce when someone approaches. Awesome integration and coverage. For people who travel a lot it really will give you peace of mind!

Really Good With Some Quirks

The video is quite good, and it stores video reliably and notifies you pretty promptly. I wish there were a way that it could know not to notify you that, well, you were at your own front door though, as that is actually really annoying, but other than that I'm very happy to have my ring.

I had my Handiman install it for me and worked like a dream. I purchased the plan where I can view the recording for one week. I feel so safe and secure now. The image is crystal clear and the audio is great.
