I didn't want to mess with charging a battery. Works great. Has a larger view of the front of the house. Videos are clearer than the old ring. Better quality sound.

Much better resolution, clarity and responsiveness than the Ring Pro (Gen 1) that I owned prior. Only disappointment is that Ring stated I'd receive a free faceplate of my color choice to match my home (Gen 1 came with multiple faceplates in box) and I have not received any info about redeeming the new faceplate. Besides that, this doorbell is very well done.

Awesome Doorbell Camera

It has great image quality, terrific range and sensitivity and the "bird's eye view" is really cool.

Decided on the Ring doorbell camera PRO 2 because of features and it uses your existing doorbell chime. No need to buy the ring doorbell chime. Follow the app on setup. It’s easy.

Four stars as i did have to return the first unit purchased - it would not stay online. Confirmed with Ring that it was a product issue. Otherwise great.

We want to ensure your device is working as intended by providing you with solutions to resolve the video quality concern you mentioned in your review.
It sounds like the device is not performing as expected in regards to person detection. It is important to ensure that you have the proper motion settings in place for your environment. Accuracy in motion detection can be improved by enabling the "Smart Alerts" feature for people only in your Ring app. To enable "Smart Alerts," please follow these steps:
Tap the menu (≡) on the top left.
Tap "Devices."
Tap the device that you want to adjust.
Tap "Motion Settings."
Tap "Smart Alerts."
Tap "Enable Feature."
Tap "Continue."
Select the notification options that you want for "Person" and "Other Motion."
You'll see a video camera where you can select or de-select recording and a bell icon to represent alert notifications.
After you've adjusted your settings, tap "Done."
