We can definitely provide you with more information regarding the concern mentioned in your review.

We are happy to provide you with more information on using the Ring Wired Doorbell Pro and the Ring app. The Ring Wired Doorbell Pro is designed with customizable settings for motion detection and notifications which can be adjusted in the Ring app, according to your needs. The menu (≡): This three-lined icon is always in the same place in the upper-left corner of the app. Tapping on it will open a side menu and give you access to the rest of the app's functions.

These are the functions that can be accessed from the side menu:

Locations: Tap the Location name in the upper-left hand corner of the screen to open up the list of Locations. From here, you can choose which Location to view.
Dashboard: Tap this option to return to the Dashboard.
Neighbors: This opens your Neighbors feed, detailing all of the up-to-date local crime data in your selected area. Tap here to learn more about Ring Neighbors.
Devices: This option brings you to a list of each device set up at this location, including Chime devices.
History: This control takes you to Event History where you can see a list of recent events at your location.
Settings: Tapping here takes you to the General and Location Settings.

Your Ring Wired Doorbell Pro will detect motion events in your surroundings, triggering motion alerts and video recordings. You can use Camera Motion Zones to define specific areas that you want your Ring doorbell to monitor while ignoring everything outside that area. You can adjust three preset motion zones and their distances under the "Motion Settings" tab on the device's page in the Ring app. Additionally, you can choose how often the camera checks for movement in those predefined zones via the "Motion Frequency" setting. If you find that your camera is missing some motions, please set the motion frequency to "Frequently."

It sounds like you are have some concern about how Ring handles customer information. We want to assure you that Ring deos not sell personal information to third parties. We also want to assure you that your safety and security is our absolute top priority. As a result, one of the features we’ve implemented is mandatory two-step verification. This added layer of security helps prevent unauthorized users from gaining access to your Ring account, even if they have your username and password. We’ve also built the Control Center within the Ring App. You can access this to view and manage important privacy and security settings, including Shared Users and Authorized Client Devices.
