    Great so far. Upgraded from the Pro 1 and the features are much better. Doesn't disconnect, and works well with my Echo Show 8.

    So far I'm happy with the Ring Doorbell. I researched in advance and had to upgrade my transformer which created a concern as the upgraded transformer still shows a low power concern. I also had to cover an old 3" round hole from existing doorbell, so had to purchase the old base from Ring and attach the new base to it to cover the hole. My response time on answering rings or initiating the video is great in my new home with 1GB upload/download fiber optic WiFi speeds and a mesh network. My response time at my other home using an older Ring doorbell is poor so I was a little concerned but am pleased with the new doorbells performance.

    I chose this model because the Ring Video Doorbell Pro is compatible with most digital and mechanical doorbell systems that are powered by a transformer (16-24 VAC, 40VA max, 50/60Hz). Another good feature is that the Ring Doorbell Pro 2 will only use data when it’s activated by an event or when you access Live View via the Ring app. If Ring camera doesn’t detect motion or isn’t activated with the app, it won’t use your mobile devices' data.
