Had help installing it, but love that we do not have to charge batteries! Clear picture, hooked right into our doorbell, connects to our Alexa- absolutely love the upgrade and it was a great price too!

Took a bit of time and patient tailoring of the various alerts, motion areas, etc. to pick up the significant motion alerts and just “noise”. But the Ring doorbell works great and adds a layer of security to home.

I purchased this item to upgrade from the original Ring doorbell. This newer version solves all of the issues from the previous version, namely slow response time, low quality video, and audio that only worked sporadically. Now when you use the app the video comes up instantly. There were many times in the past where I wanted to interact with a person at the door but could not because of lagging connection. The video quality is now what it should be, clear with a wider view so you can see delivered packages. Very satisfied with this product upgrade.

Does exactly what I wanted. The unit is slim, fits perfectly. The video quality with HDR is extremely good. Also night vision is fantastic. Overall, extremely impressed by the product. note: I initially had difficulty in using my existing chime with the doorbell. It is not the fault of the Ring Doorbell because the existing transformer of my house does not have enough power. Mine was rated at 16V 10VA. So, I switched my low voltage transformer of my home to 24V 36VA and it worked perfectly. I also tried with 16V 30VA. However the transformer was delivering slightly lower voltage of 15V because of which the Ring App was showing 'Poor' in the Health diagnostic section even though all the functions including the chime worked like a charm. So, in the end, I went with 24V 36VA to avoid the minor annoyance.

Bought it a few months back to keep an eye out for porch pirates and added security in general. This was my first smart bell and it's been a wonderful experience so far. I can converse with people at the door through the app in case I'm not home, get immediate notifications of all movements outside my house, and image quality is excellent. Would recommend.

Camera Works well and the App is easy to use. Not hard to install where there is an existing doorbell. The biggest downside is that it doesn't get a good view of our entry due to the previous doorbell placement.

Replaced a Ring Pro 2 I had for over 6 years. This appears to have a better video quality. They do not come with the mutiple faceplates the other version had (these are now available for purchase). But it does come with an angled mount for applications that install the doorbell perpendicular to the door. I had to buy a third party version for the old one, nice to know they included it.

The doorbell was a little bit wider than the one I had before, but it was easy to install with the extra wires included. It did take a little bit to get used to the app but now it’s easy to use. I do get a little tired of getting all the request to subscribe.

Love our ring pro 2 video doorbell! We purchased after a package went missing from our front porch and now with the ring’s motion detection and live streaming we have more peace of mind when we are away. The video/audio quality are excellent. I would definitely recommend. We hardwired the doorbell and the setup was easy, although took longer than the advertised 5 mins. More like 30 mins, and I still don’t have the existing chime integrated correctly. Not a big deal - the doorbell itself has a pretty loud chime that we can hear through most of the house so it hasn’t been an urgent issue. I enjoy the feature that allows me to silence the motion detection alarms. It comes in handy when the kids are running around the yard!

This ring doorbell works great. They were able to add a little wedge piece that shows the door perfectly. You can adjust the viewing area and notifications. The Geek Squad did a fantastic job of installing and setting up my ring doorbell.

We upgraded our ring doorbell from the battery version to the hard-wired version, and it is 100% better. The picture clarity is excellent and communication with package carriers and neighbors has been drastically improved. We had an issue with package thieves last holiday season, so we feel more prepared with our upgraded ring pro.

Great Product. Like the Birdseye View and Full Color HD Night Vision. Wired is best for this product (you may need to update your door bell wiring) but it will save on battery purchases in the future. Easy to use App.

Great device for added security. Was easy to set up, the app tells you step by step how to wire everything up. The only issue I had was the initial setup was a little difficult and I had to start over a couple times, but other than that great doorbell with good video quality. I also like the fact it uses the existing doorbell chime so I didn’t have to get the chime add on.

This is probably thr most expensive door cam ring offers but it is much smaller than previous generations and has more features that you may or may not need. The full view of who is at your door is very good and the resolution and overall provides a dynamic range of view. Easy to install yourself for the wired version. I think ring does a nice job with the app and easy to navigate. I would recommend this door cam. Ring is the best if tou are in the market for a high quality door cam.

Love this Ring Doorbell & especially the ability to set a recording that announces to anyone approaching my house that they are being recorded. It has been a deterrent especially to those who shouldn’t be at my door as they fail to read the “No Solicitors” sign! Have already been told by UPS, Fed Ex & some Amazon drivers that they love the message!! The mobile app is so easy to use & monitor activity. Easy to set up notifications as well.

Recently purchased this to replace my 1st Gen ring doorbell. The difference is night and day! Originally I was going for the nest doorbell, luckily my neighbors own this doorbell and my other neighbor have a nest. So I was able to compare both. By far this is way better than the competition. Only downside is you may need to update your transformer as my current transformer is underpowered.

Last doorbell you will need. Gets the job done. Easy install. Get the wired version. I dislike replacing the batteries

I replaced a video doorbell from Vivant, which consistently lost buttons and had issues. Vivant wanted a huge amount of money to replace with their new version, so I did a bunch of research and chose this Ring doorbell. I chose the hardwired version, since I was replacing the hardwired Vivant version. I was able to mount it and install it myself. I have been very happy with it so far. I haven't spent a lot of time in the app, which has plentiful options for settings and customization. I'm considering getting a camera for the driveway, so I will likely spend more time with the app once I do.
