Ring Doorbell Pro 2

On old bell units you might need help from RING.. can get done, but will take a while. Also took a long time ( and 2 shipments from Best Buy to get doorbell-.. Poor service.

Doesn’t work as advertised

Following the tips provided still could not get it to work with person at the door. The video isn’t available unless you purchase the basic plan. If you don’t buy it, you only have access to live view only.

Posted .Hi there, I understand it can be discouraging when something doesn't work as expected. Make sure that the Ring app has permission to use the microphone on your phone. You can do this by looking in your phone's settings app, and locating the Ring app. After checking that, activate the Live View in the Ring app and tap on the microphone icon to enable the two-way audio. If that still doesn't do the trick, you can search the Ring Community at https://community.ring.com/ to find solutions that worked for other neighbors. All the best, Ashley from Ring.

Night vision is not too good

If the night vision isn't clear, it may require some troubleshooting or adjustments to the angle of your Doorbell, especially if there is a wall or other object that could be obstructing the infrared lights on your Doorbell. Not Happy With this one At All

Service is coming out tomorrow to find out why. First one I never had an issue with.

The features and technology provided by the Ring Wired Doorbell Pro are incredibly valuable and help provide you with peace of mind about your home security. We would love the opportunity to work with you and ensure your device is functioning as intended.
It sounds like you are having some difficulty getting your device connected to your home's wifi network. The Ring Wired Doorbell Pro is compatible with b/g/n/ac wifi networks operating on 2.4 GHz or 5.0 GHz frequencies. If you were able to setup other devices with no issue, it may be helpful to reboot your modem or router. For optimal performance, we suggest rebooting once a month. Follow these steps to reboot your modem and/or router:
Unplug your router and/or modem from its power supply.
If your router and modem are separate devices, unplug both of them.
Wait at least 30 seconds, then plug back in.
Wait 30 seconds to one minute for your router and/or modem to boot up.
Confirm that your internet is back on by connecting another device to your wifi network and trying to access a website. Then repeat the setup process.

Garbage - Cant withstand heat from sunlight !!!!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.GARBAGE - Direct Sunlight at 3PM - 6PM, the doorbell will shutoff because of Overheat issue, this is a Ring issue ever since the very fist ring, still can't fix this, its cause they use cheap plastic that cant resist the heat from the sun.... make sure you have good shade or buy a shroud or do something or this thing will just keep shutting off. $200 piece of garbage.

We want to ensure your device is working as intended by providing you with solutions to resolve the concern you mentioned in your review.
It sounds like the device is not performing as expected. Extreme temperatures and other conditions may cause your Ring Video Doorbell to overheat. When this happens, you’ll see an error message in the Ring app that says: (Your Device) is trying to cool down. This helps keep your device safe and will result in temporarily reduced video quality. If the temperature continues to rise, your device will turn off automatically to prevent damage.
If you’re a Level Lock owner and your compatible Ring Wired Doorbell Pro or Floodlight Cam Wired Pro is trying to cool down, Amazon Sidewalk network may be turned off temporarily. As a result, your Level Lock may appear offline in the Ring app. If your Level Lock does appear offline in the Ring app due to overheating, simply wait until your Ring device returns to a normal operating temperature to access and control your lock through the Ring app. The lock itself remains fully operational during this time, and you can use the Level app to lock or unlock it if you're within Bluetooth range (about 30 feet). If you need further assistance, we recommend contacting Level.

defective product; best buy's short return period

Also, It didn't come with the correct mounting bracket. It came with a side angle bracket as if I was mounting it in a corner.

Rest assured, we are still here to help you resolve your Floodlight Camera’s night vision concerns and ensure you have a security device you can rely on.
Certain models of Ring devices have a night vision feature that allows you to see through the camera in low light conditions. By using infrared light, the camera can create a black and white image that is then beamed to the Live View in your app. By turning the color night vision feature on, the camera will use whatever ambient light is available to try and create a “false color” image in your Live View. This lets you get a better sense of what’s happening in the image by creating a false sense of color depth.
