We have had Samsung and iRobot vaccums and this Roborock is the best period. Set it and forget it. Our floors are vacuumed and mopped daily.

great vaccum cleaner that does what its supposed to. but.... the parts are a lot flimsy. I have a single story home with 80% carpet. the front wheel of the vaccum cleaner has broken down where it gets screwed onto the actual robot. the plastic broke into tiny pieces.. go figure.. i didn't run it on a bed of thorns!!. contacted support at roborock directly cause i can't return it to best buy. waiting on what they will do. for a ~2000 $ product, this was a let down for me!!

"I've been using the Roborock S8 Pro for a while now, and I’m really impressed with its cleaning performance. The suction power is more than enough to pick up dirt, dust, and even pet hair from both hardwood floors and carpets. The dual-brush system works efficiently, and it’s smart enough to avoid obstacles like furniture without getting stuck. One of the best features is the mopping function. It has something called VibraRise, which lifts the mop when it detects carpets, so you don’t end up with wet spots on your rugs. The app is super user-friendly too—you can set up room-specific cleaning, no-go zones, and customize the cleaning schedule with ease. The battery life is great, and the water well and auto-empty dock are game changers. The dock empties the dustbin for you, so maintenance is minimal. The design is sleek and doesn’t look out of place in my home. It feels really well-built too. My only complaint is the price—it’s definitely on the higher end, but with all the features and convenience, I think it’s worth it."

I’ve used it a few times now, purchasing it after I returned the roomba 10 Max, which I hated. I decided to keep this after purchasing it for $800 total. My review is based mostly on the mopping feature, an I use this on a floor with no rugs. Pros: 1) Vacuums my bare floors well enough on a light setting, but has multiple levels of vacuum power. The minimum works for me for bare floors and keeps the volume down. 2) Good about not slamming into everything, walls and furniture. Better able to handle spaces with minimal light. 3) base is large, but compartments for storing liquids are very easy to access. 4) mops without streaking!!! 5) You can turn off the “rug” function. So it treats any anomaly on the floor like it’s the bare floor. For example, I have a plastic cushioned mat in front of the sink, which is raised. It was not mopping it because it thinks it’s a rug, but you can shut off the rug function, so that it will just mop over it. 6) Haven’t tried this yet, but can store maps from multiple floors. Cons: 1) I’ve seen it have trouble with cords. Ran over a phone charging cable and dragged it along a bit before getting dislodged, and got completely stuck on a lamp cable and really didn’t do much, except the same repetitive motion, over and over, until I dislodged it myself. No warning from the robot. Wouldn’t want it to rough up a cable, that’s plugged in to an outlet, to get tore up. Also wouldn’t want it to drag a cable connected to someone’s phone or tablet and drag that off of a table. 2) Not good with stains. I have some milk stains from the baby, and it doesn’t mop them away. Some stain detection would go a long way if that could be built in with an update. 3) no noticeable difference between the three strengths of mopping. 4)App is okay, not great. A little rough around the edges but usable. 5) Don’t like that you are supposed to use their own cleaning fluid only for mopping. I have a ton of Bona I would like to use. Also, there is an alleged “discount” you get for buying from them after you register your robot, but I haven’t seen it. Overall, paying $800 for this is okay, but full price is maybe not worth it. I was not happy about the getting stuck on cords aspect and I feel like the mopping could be better.

Okay wow. This machine is next-level technology. I've owned a roomba i3 for years and thought that was good robot vac, but I needed a vacuum AND mop. This vacuum/mop has blown me away! It mapped my entire house in a matter of minutes. It also avoids hitting your floor boards and furniture due to the reactive obstacle avoidance system. The machine also talks! The app is also intuitive and has a ton of settings. I like how you're able to select certain areas you want cleaned, or you can summon the robot to clean targeted areas. The self cleaning mechanism is also impressive. The dock will emit a sound when the robot is done, and if you're wondering what the "humming" noise is... it's the system drying the mop!! I kept wondering why it made a small (but noticeable) sound. I'm extremely impressed and satisfied with this purchase. I hate mopping, and this has changed my life completely.

We had robotic floor vacuums about 6 years ago and quit using them. They were OK but in my opinion not ready for prime time. We have recently had issues finding a good house cleaning crew so we started looking at these again. We choose the Roborock S8 Ultra and could not be happier with that choice. This is very close to plug and play. We have mapped several floors that are close to 2,000 sf. Was easily done and it did not get stuck anywhere during the mapping or cleaning. Our hardwoods are spotless and almost slick since they are so clean. No streaking at all and you can tell by walking on them barefoot that they have never felt like this before. Our carpets have cleaning lines that are so straight that you almost don’t want to walk on them. Some tips on use. We almost always clean by the room. Not all rooms get dirty at the same rate. It is also helpful on your first runs to do it a room at a time. You can then see if you need to move some things around like cords. We moved some area rugs a couple of inches so it could run between the rug and wall instead of half on or off of it. We created a virtual room around our dining room table and another one on the island chairs. You have to use the room “merge” and “divide” functions to create the room. We pull the chairs out and have it clean these 2 virtual rooms. It is very quick since the robot is not navigating around all of the chair legs. We then clean the rest of floor/level by choosing all of the rooms other than the kitchen table and island. May sound difficult but you will figure it out. There is also an option to do all of the carpets first. We prefer to use that. We prefer that robot to stay on the carpet or area rug once it is on it as compared to driving on and off of it continuously. You can clean on day one but several days to get comfortable with the app. Then you can really get into the weeds and do some real fine tuning. I have called the help line several times and have never had to wait. Don’t know if I have been lucky or not. Mostly just to get some clarification and to find something in the app that is not where we thought it should be. The only question that remains for us is how long will this last! If your budget allows, not sure how you can go wrong with this.

Vacuum suction functionality is not all that great. I had a cheaper much older brand and it was better designed for vacuum punctuality. How ever the mop function makes it worth it to me. I only mopped twice maybe 3 times a year and it's super time comsumming. With this bad boy with in 3 or 4 days the dirty mop water went from black to very light gray and I could tell my floors where much shinier. So the mop function saved this thing from being returned. App is super cool and easy to navigate. Super cool function to highlight certain area with the map if my home on the app. Helps when baby makes a mess and I leave for the day and set that are to be vacuumed and mop and WALA! I come home to a clean home.

One of the best investments for the house! It does not need any maintenance. Only change the water tanks and dust bag every now and then. We used to use a Roomba but it was such a pain to clean the dust bin and the mop. This thing cleans itself and it does a very good job. The app works great, notifies you in case something goes wrong or when water tanks or dust bag need changing. Mapping is also so fast and detailed. It does not fall from the stairs or trips/tangles cables or small items like shoes or slippers. It works perfectly and above our expectations!

I was so excited to get this baddy for my wife and save her from sweeping/vacuuming/mopping our massive home with metallic epoxy floors and no carpet. She opened the early holiday gift and was unimpressed. She was INCREDIBLY skeptical that it would be able to mop the floors to her standards. She had tried every floor cleaner under the sun before she discovered that ammonia was the only thing that worked on these floors. I contacted Roborock to ask them if we could use ammonia- they said they’ve never tested with ammonia but they only recommend the Omo cleaner solution. Well that was enough for her to flat out say she didn’t want it. She slept on it and I called Best Buy to get the return policy. After discovering that we could return it within the window even if it has been used, I finally convinced her to try it out. I had ordered the recommended cleaner and added about 2/3 of a cap to the water bin. We were shocked to find that the floors were PERFECT when we returned home after letting her do her thing. No spots left behind- and even shinier than they were when she mopped. This thing is s game changer. So good!!! The technology has come such a long way. Its so much fun to track her on the app as she mops. We love that she can map and do multiple levels, though hauling the base upstairs is a total 1st world burden LOL - it’s really no big deal and she needs it to self-clean the mop and find her way around. There's a FB group for owners so plenty of tips and tricks there. The cleaning solution for the mop appears to be a small bottle but it takes less than a capful so it will last forever and it works very well! I would say dont use more than necessary and you wont have the film that some reviews have complained about. There are extra vacuum bags (which dont need to be changed very frequently) extra mop heads and other parts that need to be changed occasionally available on Aliexpress for mad cheap! I did a ton of research prior to purchasing and this is the one, Im telling you. You will not be disappointed.

Loving my Roborock so much. I have previously had a room an and a few Ecovacs deebots. I used to love the deebot but quality has gone down horribly so I decided to try out the Roborock and it is roborocking my socks off! The mapping is quick and accurate and easy to alter. It’s smart, like really smart and it works amazing on my floors. The battery life is great and the cleaning is amazing. Highly recommend

Coming from an older “dumb” vacuum robot, this thing is a game changer. The app is second to none but the robot itself is amazing. Cleans well, mops well, navigates flawlessly. I have challenged it and 98% of the time it will escape traps and miss objects without assistance. The rollers pick up hair and move it to the edge of the roller which has an easily clean function. Very smart design. After a couple of weeks of regular use, the apartment is noticeably cleaner and the mopping pattern feature keeps the floor looking extra sharp. Well done!

This vacuum/mop combo has been working great. It does a good job going from areas that need to be mopped to areas that shouldn’t. Had it about 3 weeks and we are really impressed with it compared to our old shark robot vacuum. Only a few times has it picked up charging cords left astray but otherwise does a great job at not collecting toys left all over from our 2 young kids. Also does a great job with our two furry cats that like to shed every other minute. The app interface is easy to use and it scanned the house quickly, suggestions for zones not to clean have been spot on. I’m very impressed, got this unit during a sale and it has been worth it.

This vacuum and mop is the best invention ever! I have had multiple robot vacuums over the last 12 years. I was hesitant to spend so much money on a new one, but i was really interested in the mop function. It does everything it says it will, and does it well. My flooring is hardwood or tile, with 2 rugs and doormats on top. I have it programmed to vacuum and mop every day. "Rosie" starts at 8:30 and vacuums the rugs first. She then vacuums & mops the rest. She doesn't get the carpets wet. She returns often to the base and cleans the mop. At the end of the day I need to empty her dirty water tank and refill the clean water tank. I haven't had to change the vacuum cleaner bag yet. Her underside is clean at the end of the day. We are wearing white socks in the house, and they stay white. The base is large, and she is noisy, both things I can live with. I love this vacuum!

I did a ton of research and was extremely skeptical about the quality of a vac/mop combo. I figured I could try it and return it if it didn't work out. This thing, lovingly named "Suckmantha," is my best friend. She cleans my house like a champ. I have two dogs (one long-haired), and she has never had an issue getting hair tangled like my Roomba did. Her mopping functionality is excellent. My only "con" is that she does get herself stuck sometimes. But it's worth it. Anything for my best friend.
