I should say upfront that I received the Roccat Pyro gaming keyboard for purposes of providing an honest and unbiased review. This is my second Roccat keyboard and the Pyro is another good keyboard from Roccat. It’s a solid, well built keyboard held back by a lack of a few connectivity features and a clunky software interface. But, despite the software, it’s an easy to recommend keyboard. Inside the box, you find the keyboard and a detachable stand. The keyboard doesn’t sit as high as I would like. Even with the legs extended, it doesn’t provide quite the arch I’m used to, but still, it feels comfortable. The grip on the wrist pad is especially nice. Gaming sessions have been fun and comfortable. In terms of features, the keyboard comes with linear switches. The keys are not completely quiet, but they aren’t as loud as some mechanical keyboards. They keys are responsive and springy. The keyboard has a game mode function that disables the Windows key. The volume control dial makes it easy to turn up or down audio volume. The keyboard comes with Easy Shift +. Using Roccat Swarm software, you can set up macros and alternate keys. It works. I didn’t find it to be the most intuitive tool to use during games, but with enough practice, I’m sure it could be useful for RTS and RPG gamers. Speaking of Swarm, I still find the free software tool, Swarm, to be one of the weaker aspects of the keyboard package. The software is clunky. Lighting options work, but the customization options feel basic. Also, on high DPI displays, the font for the app looks incredibly tiny. It doesn’t scale well on 4K displays or on my Microsoft Surface. If I had a nitpick, I wish there were USB ports built on the keyboard itself. As is, there is no USB port and no 3.5mm audio passthrough. But Swarm works and the lack of a USB port is not a deal breaker. This is a very solid keyboard. The brushed metal, the springy keys, and the excellent wrist pad have me sold. RGB lighting and a volume control on the keyboard are just icing. Easy to Recommend 5/5

key stroke seem longer then your normal mechanical keyboard. It also doesn't have the mechanical keystroke feedback that I was use to, there is not that instant spring back in the keys. Not a bad keyboard if you get it on sale

I like the keyboard but the keys occasionally repeat themselves. Like thissssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss.

Best keyboard around! Fun lights with multiple settings!

I have always bought bigger name brand key boards like Razer, Corsair and Logitech so when I saw this keyboard in store in AZ I was a little skeptical but it was on sale and it seemed to feel good in store. After getting it home and playing some games, I really like the responsive feel and I have recommended it to friends.

Buttons can stick, I would not recommend it this keyboard for the average user

There are legitimately better keyboards for the price. I liked my board for about 8 months, but it turns out most Roccat switches have this crazy double-input issue as they wear down. Get a Steelseries TKL for about the same price and much better quality!

Doesnt have the annoying clicking sounds that bother my wife. Still has great tactile feedback when pressing buttons so it satisfies my need for that. The lighting is super smooth when it transitions between colors too. I like the analog knob at the top too.

SUMMARY -------------- It's an excellent well-built keyboard with an arm rest. The RGB lighting is wonderful and it can be customized using the downloaded SWARM software. Pros ------- 1. Its inexpensive 2. Its well built and beautiful 3. Its customizable with the SWARMS software. 4. Responsive clicky keyboard 5. 2 year warranty. Cons ------- 1. Its wired DETAILS ----------- The setup is easy, its just plug and play. The keyboard is plugged to the USB port and the system automatically installs the software and you are up and running. The build quality is great, the keys feels sturdy and the keyboard has a brushed aluminum plate. The keyboard had a detachable palm rest but I like to use my keyboard without the palm rest. Also I wished the palm rest had a rubberized feel to it… The keyboard has a dedicated volume know instead of the volume up and down keys, this is really a good feature to have. I played call of duty on my computer and the keyboard was really fast and responsive. Basically, I think for the price this gaming keyboard is well worth it.

Basic keyboard with lights…looks dirty after use..

good mechanical keyboard with super silent keystrokes. If you need the clicky mechanical sound then this is not for you. If you want the silent keyboard then this is the one.

Will return. KB keys don't show uppercase in traditional manner. To make it worse, the uppercase is BELOW the lowercase letter/number which is counterintuitive AND those uppercase choices aren't backlit like the lowercase. Secondly, you have to go to manufacturers website to download "Swarm" s/w to then load a separate "module" to adjust the KB illumination...but that module can't be found. Don't go thru this ... pick another KB.

Very confusing keyboard. There is no manual. Any keyboard settings, and options are unknown without the standard manual.

Was working fine in till few keys broke.In Five months own it time buy new one.

Started out fine, looks like it's going to end up in the dumpster. Lasted one week before the period key stopped working. Was past Best Buy's 15 day return window. Worse, I bought a matching mouse so am kind of stuck with this brand - which I no longer trust - to keep from having to run multiple pieces of RGB control software.

Has a nice feel without being really loud and "clicky" RGB is per key if needed and nice and bright

With the volume knob and hand rest, what more can I ask for, keys feels good too for the price.
