Love this keyboard. The sound options, the color options and it's so comfortable to type with.

Excellent value for a mechanical keyboard. Driver software is a bit hit or miss, but works well overall and is great for the low Black Friday sale price.

Sturdy build and looks amazing too. Key travel is great, not too much sound as well.

Usually, I wouldn’t talk about how easy or difficult it is to install a keyboard. ROCCAT Pyro RGB Mechanical keyboard is plug and play just like any other BUT you definitely shouldn’t stop there. The SWARM software is what makes it shine...literally. This isn’t my first ROCCAT keyboard. All the things I liked in the Vulcan model are still present in this Pyro: metal casing and excellent feel. It does sound a bit quieter than the former but this is a gaming keyboard and they're never really quiet. After all, what kind of gamer would pay attention to their keyboard sound? No matter how loud it is, the sound effects of the game will always make any key sound like a whisper if that. Still, it is slightly less noisy and I do appreciate that when I’m not playing games. The multimedia keys are well placed and very useful to me. I love the physical knob for volume because I tend to lower or increase the volume all the time depending on the part of the game. A knob feels more natural and responsive. I’m a sucker for RGB anything and I like that the lighting is not too bright. Just a good calming effect that seems to help me focus on the games I’m playing. The fact that it is a mechanical keyboard is a big plus. Regular keyboards can’t stand my hard hitting and they can’t respond fast enough as the Pyro can. Key mapping is essential for gaming and I have nothing to complain about it. The software does an excellent job. I tested it with Borderlands 2 and a couple others and I couldn’t be happier. I could go and on talking about how nice this keyboard is and how premium it feels but I was looking for something negative about it to mention here. I couldn’t find any, except for one thing, which is just a personal preference: although the palm rest feels good, I don’t really see the need for it to be detachable. Maybe if I didn’t have much room I could remove it but otherwise it would be fine if it wasn’t detachable. Truth is, it doesn’t bother me.

A really great keyboard, qnd the price was even better!!!

I had fun trying this keyboard out. I will be using it for my stream pc but not my main gaming pc. as you can see in the photo, the pyro is the bottom keyboard. the keys are longer, so it does not light up as nice. I love having my stuff light up together. it lights up good enough but I love more lol. what I love with my Roccat gear is how they blend together. I also love that they include your shift functions to show up with the RGB lighting as well. those keys for instance are the !@# that you hold shift down and then press the key. I have had other keyboards from other companies and those keys don't show. the keyboard feels great and durable. they keys although longer still feel the same as my vulcan aimo keyboard. I don't usually use the palm rest so I like that it is easy to put on and off. although I like how the vulcan is as its just a magnet, the pyro you have to put in. as for typing and even gaming, I had no issues with it at all. it felt just like using my vulcan. a few things though that I am giving a 4 star for. as you can see I hope in the picture, you can see that on the top picture (my vulcan) the f1-f8 keys have a dim light under them. that is because those keys of a shift function with them. the pyro starts with f8. but f8 on the pyro is the mute button. on the vulcan its a calculator. I can still set the FN (function) keys as that is what they call those keys, but I like the visual aspect. it is also lacking the mute button that is next to the volume wheel. but overall a great keyboard and if I did not have my vulcan I would be using this keyboard as my main go to. like I said, as for feel, if felt just as good as using my vulcan keyboard. if you are trying to save some money, this is a great choice to get a great gaming keyboard. it felt great, typing with it was great feeling. and feels durable with its aluminum plating case. was very comfortable to use.

I have tried several gaming keyboards over the years and only found a few I really liked. This is definitely one of them! It is full-size, has onboard volume control, LED lighting and settings, and a great wrist pad! Comfort and precision. The mechanical keys are smooth, accurate, and responsive. This is an excellent gaming keyboard. Superb feedback and responsiveness. Keys are light to the touch, but not overly sensitive. As expected, the keys are quite tall, so for me it is not great for office work or for use in an office environment (loud feedback on purpose), but that is not what is designed for. When it comes to gaming, my fingers feel like they are lightly flowing over the keys, making gaming very enjoyable. For me, the removable palm rest is a nice addition as it gives my hands more height and makes the overall experience more natural. The lighting is fun and not too bright. Setup was seamless on my HP Omen machine. At this price point, this is an excellent gaming keyboard. Even kid-approved. Highly recommended!
