I have some older HDMI cords from previous HD purchases and had to see if this was a marketing scheme. I set up the new 55' 4k Samsung 7 series TV and first used the old HDMI cords. Although not huge rewards still was a nice picture. I then changed out the old cords with the 4k cords and there was quite a noticeable difference in color and sharpness.
