The cable is shorter than you think. You need to perfectly position everything to use a cable this short. Buy a slightly longer cable.

When I switched to the best quality output in Apple TV 4K my previous HD cable started causing flickering of the pictures, so I got this one suggested by a geeksquad person.

Honestly, I cannot see any difference in any of the hdmi cables I've used, including this one. I'm not knocking this product at all.
