Prefer to listen to sporting events and movies through the surround sound system, this cable connects the cable box ( if equiped with an "Optical Output") directly to the stereo. You'll want to make sure you can turn the TV speakers off, or the sound will NOT sync properly. Does what it's supposed to di, and does it well without breaking the bank.

Some issues with cheaper optical cables is audio video sync. When the lips don't match the audio. This cable doesn't have that issue. Very solid optical cable.

This cable worked right the first time and the picture quality/ sound quality are awesome. From the moment you plug it into both components, they go to word I would definitely recommend this cable.
