Finally got fed up with it and bought the optical cable, aaaaand couple months later everything’s working like a charm! Knock on wood. I’m very happy!!!!

Since we already had a home theater system with surround speakers, we didn't need to buy a sound bar for our new 4K TV. We just needed a good optical cable to access our existing sound system, which is better than the sound bar.

Solid cable, clear audio.

Audio is clearer than when running through HDMI. Cable is thicker than other optical cables that have come with sound bars and just feels higher quality.
