We get some pretty bad storms in the south and we get power surges and outages, with these plugs I don't have to worry about my electronics. I like the way you plug it in and the equipment you plug in goes into the side and they don't stick out from the wall. The only drawback is because the way the plugs fit into the side I haven't tried to plug in a cell charger yet so I don't know if it will work.

Why purchase an elaborate surge protector when this one is excellent for a location. The light that indicates that the protector is working correctly is a long slender design which makes it easy and convenient to view. I have had to move furniture to see the small round light on other less well designed protectors. Best surge protector for locations needing to protect one or two items.
